All of them but I really like BVS, it’s just too good.

MOS makes me view things differently to Superman as a fictional character, BVS is the perfect continuation to that, and ZSJL released at my worst times, making it my most personal Zack Snyder film. I can't really choose. They are my top 3 films, their trilogy is also my personal best trilogy of all time.

Watchmen. How perfectly did he cast that film?
@kryptonian55397 ай бұрын
Watchmen is the GOAT. Its number 1 and it changed my life. But I will never forget leaving the theater after BvS after being blown away by it. Thinking of all the possibilities of future movies and sequels etc. I was truly flabbergasted at all the hate that was being thrown at it online and by critics. It really made no sense to me why that one particular movie was being dog-piled so hard on by what seemed like everyone. And its still a conversation to this day. For that reason BvS is always up there at the top for me. So much awesome on film. MoS is the movie I was hoping Superman Returns would be. After that, ZSJL pretty much jaded me on the genre. I am baffled that people watched that with all the cliffhangers and setups and huge Zack moments that he is famous for and did not want to see where it went from there. We will never get to see Darkseid invade and truly flex. We will never see the big war with the New Gods, Amazonians, Lanterns, Atlanteans, Knightmare future explored, time travel etc. WHY?!?!!!? I am forever thankful to the fan push that got us that movie. I really hope they finish the story in animation or GN one day. Also, 300 stands the test of time. There are so many shots that could be paintings. Its a work of art for sure.

300, MoS, BvS and Watchmen are truly phenomenal classics. There's simply no director who can make a comic book movie better than Zack. What will forever be the saddest thing is that we never had a real DCEU with him as the main producer like Feige, we basically got 2 movies that had dark history behind the scenes and then wb killed dceu by listening to crybabies. Just the idea that people didn't want something deeper and more serious than the dick/ass jokes aka mcu. And now they have given complete freedom to a pedophile who specializes in dick/ass jokes. Just to think, if everything went right, we would already had Justice League trilogy and even a Flashpoint reboot, not to mention Affleck's solo film, Green Corps, New Gods etc. Great director , one of the best, underrated as fuck.

I enjoy Snyders movies. But to say he’s the greatest ever is tough. Nolan was def better and I’d argue the Russos are better. Snyder captured the action though better then any comic book movie I’ve seen.
@disgustingnerd70277 ай бұрын
@@patrickbret1056 NOLAN Imfao, aka the dude who turned Batman into a skinny useless dude in a plastic suit with throat cancer who fights dogs and had his back broken by a random 5'2 dude in a mask, his trilogy also had one of the worst action scenes i've ever seen, oh and he also turned the Joker into an anarchist with a plan, that is opposite of what the Joker is. Nolan got no idea how to make CBM movies, he made a pseudo-realistic detective story about a guy who calls himself Batman but has nothing to do with Batman. The whole trilogy is extremely overrated, not as overrated as TDK alone ofc, but at least this one was ok, the 1st and 3rd movies are laughably bad, only someone who has never read any comics can say it was ok, let alone better than Snyder. Russos? bruh that shit gotta be some kind of trolling or bait i dunno. Goofy ahh civil war aka BvS for 12 year olds, mediocre 2nd cap, avengers iw was actually good and endgame-fan service trash , how can someone compare any of this to 300, watchmen or snyderverse trilogy is beyond me, it's not even close.

People like to pretend they knew that both of their mothers names were Martha and mock that moment in the movie. But I guarantee you general audience members did not know. I am someone that has followed DC animated stuff since I was a child and that fact always went over my head. And it made a lot of sense to me that he would stop himself because Batman thought about his mother in that moment and about what she would say if she saw him the way he was in that moment.
@brucecrawford_177 ай бұрын
@@Ghosthound_X Yes, exactly. I agree with you. It's such a good moment that people sadly mock about the film. I was a general audience member, and I didn't know that both of their mothers's names were Martha. I love the idea of how Batman fights crime. That, metaphorically, these were the people who took his parents lives, but that night, when he saved Superman's mother, he really was on a mission for redemption for the night that he couldn't save his parents, even though he was just a kid.

Watch 7:30. That’s how Zack sees filmmaking. He turns it up to 11 in order to satirize the genre without making it a spoof or a parody. His movies are very self-aware. And (gasp!) his sense of humor comes out in those R-rated elements. This is why 300, Watchmen and Dawn of the Dead are arguably some of his best films, because his sensibilities are allowed to spill over the edges and it makes it more FUN. Read the article: “Zack Snyder’s Big, Dumb Action Career is Smarter Than It Seems.” The latest article pretty much nails it

The transition from The Michael Bay Transformer movies to the recent "Transformers One" trailer that was just release highlights the pattern that I see when Studios move away from Directors like Snyder to the Studio mandated movies. This happens again and again and again in different franchises. To be honest, a lot of online discourse was very negative about Michael Bay and Snyder and only in hindsight do we see there merits. Another thing about Bay and Snyder is that they really aren't "woke" either which is a criticism you hear about a lot of modern movies along with them just being completely devoid of creative inspiration. I am not saying there isn't a third option, but I will take a Bayformers or a Snyder film over a studio mandated movie any day of the week. Hollywood is always ok losing money as long as it isn't the director's fault. There is always risk involved with filmmaking. I would love it the studios started putting trust back in the director because at the end of the day at least we will have a movie that is sincere and has a real artistic vision even if it isn't popular.

Both Rebel Moons have flunked and the last one will to no matter what because there is no story and no characters we care about other than the single robot whos not even supposed to be one of the main 3 characters. We should make a live action movie based on under the red hood that gives a definitive answer to batman killing. Where instead of completely justifying himself, he admits that it would have been better if he kill his enemies in combat, but he was saving them out of fear that if any of them ended up dead, the public would turn against him. He's a vigilante, that hides his identity. It's easy to paint his as a villain, to give a real world example, kyle rittenhouse, almost went to jail for life when several people ended up dead. When he went to a riot with a gun and shot people to defend himself. In situations where cops have to kill people, a lot of the time the public lashes out at them. I guess you can kill if it's you or them, but it causes problems for you. You have to justify it. It'd better if you can avoid killing people you're aiming to stop. I think it was the plot of the spiderman movies that mysterio ended up dead and that's what happened the public turned on him.
