One thing TWA loves almost as much as DPA (Dany, Pau and Ale) themselves is watching reactors (or anyone else) get turned on to TW. You’ve already likely experienced the support TWA is capable of to a channel especially if they like your vibe. There’s a pretty good mix of OG fans who have been around since the early days and newer fans who have discovered them over the last several years. TW may be one of or possibly the best documented bands out there as almost their entire musical lives have been on a camera of some sorts. TW has a surprisingly large amount of content on all their social media platforms for reactors to partake in and that doesn’t even cover their fan generated content of which more than you may think is excellently done.

re: 2014 *Enter Sandman* cover : for a trio, much less a young trio, this is fantastic! slightly different but a full wall of sound filled with raw power and grit... the child's prayer with Pau and Ale is beautiful and takes me back to my own youth and bedtimes with one of my parents coaching me along... the power of Pau on the drums, Ale's driving bass line, and Dany rocking out with her James Hetfield scowl are... whoa! then you think who needs two guitars when you have one Dany? 😹 also, i'll note that the wall behind the camera is a full mirror so all the girls can see themselves playing... this was done so they could work on their stage presence... the wall on Ale's (bass) side also has a window into the equipment side of their studio known as "The Warning Cave" or "The Cave" for short... I remember seeing this video circa 2017. My next experience with The Warning was hearing the first track of the blacklist album in 2021. I decided I had to learn all I could about this band I knew nothing about. Little did I know they were the same band! I think a great next song would be their “re-imagining” of Enter Sandman at Teatro Metropolitan. It is incredible!

saw this way back 2015, but sadly I didn't bother to follow them, you know, too many kid covers in youtube and make no sense you follow them all, until James Hitfield repost this in his FB fan page in 2018, then it made me curious , how are they doing that time, so I search them in youtube, and I found Dust to Dust live video, oh man , I was surprised how they grown musically as a musicians and they are not a cover band anymore, the rest is history, made me an instant fan that day

The father is a sound engineer. and both dad and mom are music lovers in general, but with an inclination towards rock. The three sisters absorbed that from the cradle. but the love for rock and playing is 100% theirs. The parents never pressured them but always supported them. There is a mini documentary on KZbin called Tidal Rising, where they themselves tell how their love for rock and its instruments came about. If you make a reaction, we will surely be accompanying you in it. link kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWjMgnpmqsxnfqssi=gFoiBGPJHSnCIN1R

They did open up for Def Leppard in Mexico, I really haven't heard them say anything other than opening for them. Personally, I love def Leppard. Foo fighters is another one they opened for, plus they did a song cover of theirs

I recommend their Tidal Rising and Mayday in the Making documentaries, they talk about how they started learning their instrumental and the support of their family. Lets face it, they were born with the innate talent, intelligence and empathy that it takes to write great songs, but they had to grow into it to reach their true potential. Now we see the results of the first 10 years of their musical journey and it is hard to imagine that they won't end up at the top of the rock world down the line. The rest of the world just has to catch up with what we in the TWA already know. ⚡

As young as they were, Pau had already been playing drums and Dany had been playing guitar both for six years! Ale had been playing for two years. Dad owned a recording studio. He closed it and built one in their basement. Their parents quit their jobs to focus entirely on the girls. The girl’s love of music is entirely theirs, lovingly nurtured by their parents. No one forced them. They had great teachers. Two, Pablo Gonzales Sarre, and Beto Ramos, are famous Mexican musicians. Pablo is the bassist of Los Claxons, and Beto is the drummer of Jumbo.

Yes the version at the Teatro Metropolitan would be the best one to review. Metallic had different artists do covers of their Black album for the 30th anniversary and they wanted The Warning to do Enter Sandman. The Warning did it in collaboration with another artist but I really don't know anything about her. They were told not to do a straight cover and to make it their own and they did. I think you are going to like it. It's different but really good. On this video Dany was 14 Pau was 12 and Ale was 9.🎸🤘🏻

Actually, it was “the other artist” Alessia Cara, a Grammy award winning pop artist out of Canada that was invited to be on the Blacklist album. She was having trouble trying to come up with something to contribute to said album. Since she and The warning both had the same international management via Lava records it was suggested to her that she invite the (The Warning) to collaborate. They had only 10 days left before the deadline to submit their recordings to Metallica. This was also done during the covid era and travel was restrictive, so Alessia recorded and filmed her part in Canada, while The Warning took care of business in Mexico. They invited the sound engineer,Rick Carson, from their recently recorded Error album down to Mexico to help out. David Bendeth, the producer of the Error album did the final mixing and production work for the project. The rest is music history with a masterful reimagining of an iconic song being created. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!

If you are going to the next step, you need to see both 2021 Alessia Cara and The Warning Enter Sandman OMV, the version that went on Metallica's BlackList album (track 1), and then the 2022 live version at Teatro Metropolitan. In my opinion they are equal for different reasons. During the height of COVID they, in Mexico, made the new version in 10 days working with Alessia Cara over Zoom in Canada. Alessia was invited to be on Metallica's BlackList album but as a Pop/R&B person she was at a loss about what to do. She shares management with The Warning so they got together and produced the creepy lullaby that is their Enter Sandman remake. Some reactors have done a triple reaction, 2014, 2021, and 2022, so a double would not be out of place.

This particular version of Enter Sandman was approximately at a time when they became a formal band. Their grandparents wanted to see what they accomplished but they could not send the video logistically. They decided to post it on KZbin for their grandparents to see. The fact is the entire world saw it and it went viral and that was the beginning of their real introduction to the rock world. My recommendation for the other version of this would be the 2023 Teatro concert rather than 2022. They added a string section which was beautiful and is my favorite.

IIRC the girls didn't start playing together until November 2012 when Dany & Pau decided to play together as a band for their school's Las Posadas (Christmas Festival), and they convinced Ale to join in even though she'd only been playing bass for about 6 months. That would put Ale's start time at around May 2012, at age 7 and a half.

Here is something I think is interesting. Ale is only 19 and has a signature bass (a Spector bass) and color (Ale's inferno ). How many rock bass players can say they had a signature bass and color at that age. If I remember she got her signature bass in 2022 so she would have been 17 when she got her signature bass and color. I can't think of any rock bass player that had a signature bass and color at that age. That's impressive to me.

Ale has been playing a Spector Bass since she was 13ish. She signed as a Spector artist at 15. There’s videos of Ale with Pablo playing 5 and 6 string bass at a fairly young age. I’m not sure how many bass guitars Ale was gifted in total but I do know it was at least two 4 strings. I’m not sure of the history of her natural finish 5 string but I know she got her Ale’s Inferno bass while they were in NJ recording Error. As everyone knows she also has the blue 5 string now. She did mention the signature series bass through Spector again recently but I’m not sure if it’s actually happening yet and I thought I heard it’s more of a base model 4 string so it’s more affordable to younger players starting out because apparently Spector’s aren’t always considered affordable.

@@SDsailor7 Yes, Ale received her USA Custom NS-5XL on or about Oct 6th of 2020 (that’s when the YT video was uploaded). If my math is correct, that puts her roughly 5 weeks prior to turning 16. They were in NJ at David Bendeth’s studio recording Error in October of 2020. Error wasn’t released until June 24th, 2022 so that may be where the confusion is. In this same timeframe is where Ale officially signed as a Spector artist. She had been playing Spector bass guitars since she was 13ish.

Then the game ROCKBAND got Dany and Pau started with guitar and drums, with Ale picking up the bass guitar when she was able to. i've reworked the following a little bit... you might want to save or bookmark this comment... you may want to refer to it later 😜😹 *a little history:* many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany on guitar, Pau on drums [like "POW!"], and Ale on bass [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters... DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all started learning and playing classical music on piano... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band... Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer which is a gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing... Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was almost three years ago so she has almost 16 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums as passionately as she does... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old... the bass was Ale's second choice, after the harp, for an instrument... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass which was still pretty large... today, Ale has grown up and effortlessly carries her "Ale's Inferno" colored Spector NS-5XL 5-string with its 35 inch neck... she has been a Spector Featured Artist since she was 15 years old... she worked with the Spector team to create the coloring of the bass which they named "Ale's Inferno"... Ale has also recently acquired a blue Spector bass that she played in most of their 2023 concerts... Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound but a lot of the time you will find Ale connected to an Ampeg amp attached to an 8x10 cabinet so she can feel the rumble of her instrument... Dany is the same way, too... she also like to hear and feel the sound of her guitar when she is on the stage... it is quite different than being in the audience... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live... today the girls are 24 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 22 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 19 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Metropolitan Theater (Teatro Metropolitan) in Mexico City (CDMX) holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)... in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music... in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it... some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... they were also the only ones playing on the Extended Stage to be announced on the Main Stage when their songs were played! DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure... additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and have just finished their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe... i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey... the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

This 2017 TedX Talks mini concert is a must for historical reasons and to understand a certain catch phrase popular amongst The Warning Army. Also don't forget to subscribe to The Warning Army channel as well. There is another earlier TedX Talks from 2015 that you may enjoy as well if you find yourself becoming a true fan of their band and their music. So they all played classical piano from a very young age. The rock band came about because of the Rock Band Video Game. Dany & Pau were in love with the game and their dad asked them if they wanted to try real instruments, the rest as they say is history. So one big advantage they had was that their dad use to work at a recording studio in Monterrey. He knew a lot about the industry abd was friends with several of the local musicians who were on board with teaching the girls. So fast forward a few years and two of their original songs from their first EP were included in Rock Band 4. For the other one I would actually recommend the music video. The remake was a collaboration with Alessia Cara (Canadian R&B singer) for the MEtallica Black List album. It was changed quite a bit from the original. DPA do a fine job playing it live but it sounds more like the original without Alessia. One of the very few warning songs that I would say do the Music video over a live recording.

They were playing the Game that got them interested in Rock Bands. The were taking lessons and this video was for their grandparents to show them how they were doing. They are extremely intelligent and musically inclined.

Checkout the music video with Alessia Cara. You can hear all the nuances of the song. They recorded this in one take. No do overs or over dubbing. When Dany was 8 and Pau 6 they played Rock Band for about a week then started lessons on real instruments. Ale was 3 at the time and did not play the video game but would run around clapping while Dany and Pau played. It would be 4 years later when Ale was 7 that she would begin bass lessons. One month later the three of them started playing together. Then, two years later they made this video of Enter Sandman. About a year later they would release their first EP of original music, Escape the Mind.

You need to check out their two Ted Talks and some of their Documentaries and interviews for more background on how they started. I saw this shortly after it came out, but like a dumbass I just thought they were talented and moved on. Then in 2014 or 2015 I caught a video of Dust to Dust and was hooked, the timing structures and writing ability was insane. The best part is no matter when you discover them, they’re career from the beginning on has been documented, it’s out there for the world to see more so than any group I’ve seen in my 50 years as a musician. The Warning and Band Maid drug me out of my despair for modern music and restored my faith in Rock.

Nice reaction, Zack. This might be a good time to watch The Warning Title Rising Documentary to get caught up on the band's musical growth from inception to about 2021 or before the release of their 3rd album Error. This should answer the questions you had during this reaction. Heres the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWjMgnpmqsxnfqssi=8r0xjWIaNNcwXprZ

That’s a 14 year old little lady doing the work of 2 guitarists while singing lead with a respectable "James face." Next we have a 12 year old singing drummer with arguably better chops than Lars. Let’s finish it off with a rock solid, stunningly precocious 9 year old on a chopped down bass that still dwarfs her. Easy to see why it went viral. But the best part of all, in hindsight, is that they didn’t just fulfill that early promise, they exceeded it.

Two videos you need to react to are The Warning, TEDx Talk 2017(3 songs, and info spoken by the girls about the band)around 30min. And Mayday in the Making, a 6 part documentary style video where the girls, their parents, their manager, the CEO of Lava Records, their last album producer, all talk about the band. TWA will watch every video you make about this band! Trust me. I'm not like the rest of them!!

Here's the list of some of their live sessions of songs from the Mayday EP and Error album. Love each one of these. Some may prefer the live session of Animosity to their webtoon video. I love both. The song Z has no official video, so this live session serves that purpose for me.
