This is in my top 3 favorite Home Free covers. Beautiful arrangement. Btw, Home Free does a stunning cover of "Auld Lang Syne" if you're interested for the New Year. Thanks! 🍟

I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. Hundreds of artists have covered this song. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it. It is a masterpiece. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group hands down.

Going to college in Georgia, I got burned out on country music, so I don't listen to a lot of Home Free (although I think they are fantastic), but my mom is from West Virginia, so I grew up with this song. This was a very beautiful rendition.

They said they took years with the arrangement of this iconic song. They made it into more of a ballad and I love it. I actually love it more than the original. It’s so beautiful and they all got to shine. Love all of it. Good reaction Zack and I subscribed! 😍😃

These guys just do not miss. They're harmonies are just absolutely phenomenal. These guys are my favorite acapella group. I like Pentatonix vocative and voice play. But home free just takes the cake and they take it home

I love this version by Home Free! What a wonderful homage to John Denver! One of my favorite Rob leads is in a Tim original Catch Me If You Can, awesome song and awesome Rob lead! I don’t think it gets reacted to nearly enough. Thanks for a great reaction!

My mother was a huge John Denver fan! I definitely feel they did this song a great justice! This is likely his most known song, I would think and they didn’t add too many big bells and whistles, but still added that Home Free style to it! Rob’s lead was awesome with everyone’s harmonies, and then Tim’s added base parts! I really love Austin’s higher backing parts in this one! This is definitely one of my favorite covers by them!❤❤❤ Glad you enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing more Home Free reactions!!🏡🍟

Nice reaction. We get velvety Chance on this. 😊 Huge fan of JD back in the day (when some of us knew of him by his real name). In addition to the other recommendations, you've seen enough HF to probably be ready for 'Mayday.' This usually isn't suggested intil the reactor has a fairly good handle on who-does-what. Couple others with silky Rob in the lead: 'Travelin' Soldier' and 'Go Rest High on that Mountain' (there are two: the HF video and the 'Church Sessions' which I prefer. The 'CS' one is on YT but not in the HF channel.) These are both very somber so not something to choose if you're in the mood for upbeat.

The original John Denver was too country for me although it was always a standard. This version has a melancholy, wistful feel to it that has completely changed my opinion on the song.

A cover again so wonderfully good. I also liked John Denver's, but this version of Home Free surpasses the original. Yet they do maintain the respect for the song. Rob, who nailed it, with his beautiful lead combined with the others is great again. Adam who has swallowed another drum kit😉 finishes it off completely. In one word phenomenal👏❤ A few songs where Rob has the lead: "Joy To The World" (Hosanna Concert 2013), "Dreamer" (an original. Three performances on KZbin. The original video, one with Texas Hill and one with Texas Hill live at the Ryman, both with instruments. All three are great, but I prefer the original video), "Catch Me If You Can", "Go Rest On That Mountain", "Christmas Meant To Me" etc😊

I never really cared for this song. Always found it too bubble-gum poppy and it just never fit in my ear It always felt off, to me. When I heard this version, I fell in love with this song for the first time. Their approach to it just seems to fit the tune better.
@JanSkaggs11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reaction. Beautiful singing but it was driving me crazy being slowed down. I could get use to it but it felt awkward. I think Geoff from VoicePlay does this song and I seem to remember it being closer to original speed. Not better, just different. I am not knocking Home Free. I adore them. They sing this most beautifully! I just grew up during John Denver singing this. I got use to that. I absolutely love Home Free over John. I only mention Geoff because it’s the same song and it’s good too. I don’t compare the three A Cappella groups because that are equal in different ways. Can’t compare. 🤪
@nancyholter564611 ай бұрын
I am ooold, loved John Denver, but it had been so long since I listened to his version that the speed on this one didn't even phase me - it just seemed 'right'. It becomes a song of longing, not do much a celebration.

I have been enjoying your reactions but I have to ask why you are the just about the only reactor that gets blocked by copyright? Do you just assume it will get blocked or? It really shouldn't be necessary~
@Razorcat8811 ай бұрын
I've seen other KZbin channels put up a copyright disclaimer at the start of their video and then you don't have to cover up the actual video you are playing and reacting to. Covering it up makes me skip your video.
