If you watch the Official Quarantine Show, Dany and Ale split lead vocals for Hunter. After the song they are both re-tuning and Dany says the verses in Hunter are actually too low for Ale to comfortably sing, at least at that point. Dany is basically implying that the older Ale gets the higher her voice is becoming. This is contrary to what most people seem to think about Ale’s voice. She struggles way more with projection doing the lower vocals than she does higher up in her range. People also seem unaware that Dany has the lowest vocal range by far of the sisters (Pau said that, not me) and what may be in Dany’s wheelhouse is likely way too low for Ale despite the fact that she sings a lot of lower harmonies. Technically, Ale has had the highest vocal range of the sisters when you factor in falsetto. Pau doesn’t use falsetto much and would naturally be lower than Ale and Dany is really still exploring her head voice so we don’t know how high she’ll ultimately reach. Ale is also still transitioning into her adult voice which is something that Dany and Pau have already done so it may be a year or more before we actually get a bead on where Ale’s voice is gonna end up. I personally believe Ale will end up somewhere between Pau and Dany.

There is a clearer version of Ale singing lead for "Red Hands" at the Mercury lounge in 2019. This is the set where the CEO of Lava records came to watch them. I thought she had sang "Hunter" as well, but I don't find a video for it. I think the others are correct that in general her mike is just mixed at a lower volume for her backing vocals.

Ale singing it would be natural in the context of it being a new character but she’s repeatedly stated she doesn’t like singing lead & only does when “forced” or needed to help Dany. *Hunter* *Hunter* introduces us to another (3rd?) character in the QOTMS rock novella... if you have followed the QOTMS album, we know about the Queen, her love interest, and her love interest's interests... this character Dany is portraying is a much stronger and foreboding entity than those we have seen so far... the driving primal predatory bass line that Ale plays to move the song along is certainly a crowd favorite... punctuate that bass line with Pau's drums and yeah... fear and foreboding with spurts of hurried panic... in newer renditions of this song, they did a bit of a change in this song from the original... toward the end, Pau is doing the low voice saying "I'm coming back; There's no escape" instead of using a backing track like they have in the past... she repeats this phrase several times, getting louder each time, until she ends the run with one of her known screams "THERE'S NO ESCAPE!!!"... Fun Fact: Pau has four screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , some in *Apologize* , one in *Z* , and this one in *Hunter* ... I think the problem is that Ale's voice is naturally lower comparatively. She usually harmonizes in the lower octave. The songs are written for Dany and Pau's higher voices. Ale's vocal range seems to sit in the same frequency range as the instruments. She's got a gorgeous, smoky tone but it gets lost in the mix.

"Hunter" introduces a new character, the Grim Reaper (which might only be a figment of the Queen's tortured imagination). This is why many fans feel that this song should have been written for Ale to play that role. Ale singing defies clear recording, almost as if she is sending out some form of force field! Perhaps you should have looked at the one where Thomas took over the bass playin' duties. I can tell you enjoy when Pau screams!

I kinda feel like Ale was having in ear monitor issues. It sounds like she can't hear herself. It also might just be in a hard key for her. She sounded like she needed to flip into her head voice for that, and it just doesn't suit the song. She has a much deeper voice than Pau or Dani. I hope that's it, anyways. That sounded like me on karaoke night after one too many.

She simply doesn't pursue developing a lead voice. There is a video years ago at a TV set where they are hanging out and she gets tricked into singing for a moment and a phone captures it. She has a great voice, singing lead doesn't appeal to her.

It has to be said that Ale knows she can't match her sisters vocally and, quite rightly, doesnt do it. I've heard her sing a few things and she really isn't up to the job. Having said that I do think it might be possible to write a song that does suit her voice. Hunter isnt it.
