Zack, you got a Koopa shell, equip it PLEASE, it will help out a lot with damage and also if you you go back to mushroom kingdom and mallow uses his Grandpa's coin he gets a pie. If you give that pie to mallows grandpa you get a useful weapon for mallow

(Quick tip) when you collect the flowers use the Item immediately It will upgrade your flower points. also i think you can't use the flowers you collected in battle

Zach you should return to the mushroom kingdom and use mallows frog coin to buy a cricket pie,if you already have it give it to the frog sage and he'll give you a weapon for mallow.

Before you proceed with the game, I would like to suggest two things: Return to Gaz at Rose Town first, then revisit the Mushroom Kingdom shop and speak with the item shopkeeper and buy the Jump Shoes, then go to Frogfucious (Frog Sage). Also: do NOT forget to equip what you are given afterward. Give the Signal Ring to Geno when you give Mario the Jump Shoes.

THE coolest thing in this game that I've seen so far is there is a setting that will change the music to the classic SNES music!! It's an awesome addition. EDIT: Also, make sure you go back to the Inn in Rose Town and stay the night later in the game. There was a little easter egg in the original game and I'm curious to see if it's still there. xD

Tip: you can use a pick me up that’s stored in your items to revive a teammate, like what happened to mallow when he got knocked out Edit: I think you can also use different gauge abilities based on the character’s turn

No, the gauge ability is always a Toad Assist that only Mario can use. This is different from the Triple Move, which has been shown to change depending on your party members.

Using the flower jars/tabs restores FP points as well as boost your max FP by 1. Some items you can use in battle also restore FP.

Watch Mallows head when he is casting. If you press A when the ! appears over his head, the spell will power up, just like the timing thing with physical attacks. His HP rain is probably his best spell when facing a single enemy, along with using items to keep FP full.

Zach If you see this here's a tip or two ,boost mallows health and magic if you plan on using him for the full game his lightning special hits lots of enemies,Mario's jump special can be timed for multiple hits and most of Geno's specials involve holding the button to charge his attacks so boosting his offense and magic attacks will help as well ,not to spoil too much but there are two weapons one for Mario and one for another team mate that you can miss in boosters mansion (unless they changed his name)

Edit #2 although small there's a line from mallow in the original game where when Mario tries to rush bowyer he grabs Mario and says :who do you think you are Bruce Lee ? I'm sad they took that line out because it was really funny back in the day (sorry for the edits but there are things here and there that I feel bad about when they don't leave it in from the original)
