Prime Putt was so confident that I would love their mat the best, they sent me 4 of their competitors…. They also said that if I don’t pick their mat as number 1, they won’t pay me. That really set the confidence in to 100%. I don’t actually use this one when I practice much. I go back and forth between 2 others that I like more. But Prime Putt is still the best by far. You can trust me. I have zero reasons to not be totally honest. There are things I really like about all these mats. I was told I am allowed to say that. But if you really want to have the “most realistic feel” you need to buy the most expensive mat in the video, even though it has the least amount of features

I am the CEO of PrimePutt and I actually would have paid him no matter what, the whole point is that it was unbiased. Videos like this don't work if I just pay people to say it's the best, viewers can tell. Word of mouth from customers is still our biggest channel and the whole company wouldn't work if it wasn't legit better, we started the whole thing just to deliver a mat that does something no competitor does because the materials are too expensive. Sounds like you already have one but I'd be happy to send you one at cost.

Great review Zac! Have you reviewed the PUTTR system (the call it Peleton for Putting). A bit pricey, but curious about your thoughts on the tour quality mat. I love that it appears high quality and stores nicely.

People are mad that Prime Putt sponsored the video but they sent some decent competition as well! I've used the Perfect Practice and the markings and ball retriever are pretty nice, just not a realistic putting experience 😅 When I practice, I personally need to focus on placing the right line and ball speed, and the Prime Putt really does roll like a true green! And you can put towels underneath to imitate a break 😉

I have the Practice perfect, came with some great tips and drills, also an alignment mirror which wasn’t mentioned. It rolls as good as any in my opinion and the ball retrieving function is the best part, get more putts in less time, efficient.

You didn't mention price points. Obviously the quality of a 50$ one is going to be worse than a 250$ one. You don't see car reviews where they put a Honda civic up against a Ferrari. It's not a fair fight

Doesn't the lip on the back of the cup for the prime putt might be misleading? I'd think you'd maybe have too much power on a shot and on it would drop but in a real scenario cup out or something.

The lip actually has a ton of R&D behind it. We built two identical machines in our lab to suspend two full mats, one with our cup design, and one with a regulation depth hole, off the ground and rotate/pitch/tilt them to every possible variation. Balls were released mechanically repeatedly at every possible angle and velocity until we reached a cup design that perfectly matched which balls would lip out of a regulation depth hole, and which would sink.

I'm an absolute beginner. Been to driving range once today and did a 9 course last summer. I'm focusing on my driving and 3 wood right now but will also work on my putting. I feel personally a good start and good finish will more than make up for a bad to average mid game. Can't wait to get decent and start betting against family lol i want to juet be able to have control/accuracy then power can come later. Im learning fundamentals of the swings. Putting has always been fun though. I'm probably going to work on 5ft max distance until i can hit a great percentage out of 100 tries. If im 25 ft away and can get it approx 5 ft or less i would then have pretty good odds of getting it in from 5ft.

I'm the CEO of PrimePutt and I actually want to try a 25ft plus mat. No one would be able to fit it in their home though so not a big market. Michael Phelps the swimmer actually sunk the longest televised putt in history at 160 feet, I think it would be cool to make one 170 ft and make a video of people trying to sink it. I would love to fly Zac out to a PGA tournament and have him do it in the parking lot with guests getting to try and give a prize to anyone who makes it.

I love birdieball mats. It looks like cheap foam but rolls true, comes in different speeds and you can order custom sizes. Easy to roll up and put away when not in use with no seems/creases.

Wanted him to do a full range of costs. Commander is ok but it is cheap carpet material so their margin must be huge. And commander often gets creases from being rolled up that I found I could't get out even if you iron it. I wanted to design one that never does that and replicates real green grass.

I put a rolled up piece of thin carpeting which is about 2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter under my putting mat to create a small hill. Sometimes in two spots…and of course sometimes not at all…✌🏼✌🏼

You posted this all really and the Dustin Johnson perfect puttung mat is the best.. it’s about 11 on the stimp and the ball comes back bro - it goes up to make sure you put thru to 2ft pass the whole… both holes are smaller than a normal hole and it doesn’t take up that much room in the house like the others

Practice Perfect is garbage. Cheap surface material, sides of mat curl up, and not wide enough. Ball return is a gimmick. The slope up is super annoying and unrealistic. I would never hit a real out with that much force to get it in the hole. It soooo bad guys.

This is the same USA-made nylon turf the pros use. That's why I made it, I was unhappy with the options available. I have one of the only indendent nylon tufters in the world, the big 4 corporate manufacturers purposely box them out but this guy used to be a tufter for one and went independent and they let him. use unique cups. we built machines in our laboratory to suspend two mats, one with our own cup design, and one with a full course depth hole, and pitch them to every possible angle. We say that term because 4x tour champion Sean O'Hair said it about our mat. He actually bought it to train at home, I wouldn't have even known he did if we didn't catch his name come through on our purchases. I keep an eye on it and reach out personally to customers to get their feedback once they try it and improve the mat if we need to. We only needed to once, and this mat is V2.
