Great video! Just a small nitpick: Zegana doesn't actually trigger Ezuri, since she enters the battlefield with the counters already on her, so she's a 4/4.

Can't say I was a fan of that one, mainly with Sean sitting in the back while Matt was exploding, and nobody doing much to any of them until Brie casted her Overseer. It was interesting to see her give tokens to Dale to keep him alive longer (and fuel a potential counterattack on Matt) but with Matt and Sean untouched and Koskun Falls mainly protecting Sean from wide attacks the end result was predictable from very early. They can't all be good obviously, so it's gotta happen from time to time!

Heads up Ezuri CoP Doesn't work on replacement effects. So prime speaker hits the field as a 3/3 Or 4/4 and that is the number Ezuri sees. So no experience would be gained.

You’ve heard me say it before, but I love seeing Ezuri fire on all cylinders. It’s obvious why he got targeted by Brie and Sean, but still rad. Also a very tense ending that was fun to watch.

@ 2:07 when Prime Speaker Zegana is played, she enters the battlefield as a 4/4, not as a 1/1. The +1/+1 counters are not placed as an etb trigger, they function the same way most 0/0 hydras do.

Great vid! As a vial smasher player why was he casting that last before passing the turn? Around 7:39, he could have just won the game by casting vial before the keranos right then and there.

No he couldn't, in that case Keranos would be the second spell of the turn not the first so wouldn't trigger Vial. You cannot get a vial smasher trigger the turn you cast him.

Matthew McCrory so the decklist was getting made when I had a sudden shift in brainwaves and wound up frantically building a deck that will show up later on the channel. Since then I’ve been prepping the store for a local gaming convention and for Iconic Masters to release. Add in sickness and two school aged children and you’ve got a bundle of excuses that ultimately mean nothing :-/ In any case a decklist will be forthcoming

Zegana doesn't enter with the counters, she enters as a 1/1 and her trigger is placed on the stack afterwards. Ezuri sees her enter as a 1/1

After doing a quick search, it looks like it should have. The relevant clause is "Enters the battlefield with...." as opposed to "When Prime Speaker Zegana enters the battlefield....." I found this post from a rules adviser on the matter of how Zegana would work with Ezuri: "A permanent that enters the battlefield with counters has those counters from the very first moment on the battlefield. There is never a time when it is on the battlefield but doesn't yet have those counters. So +1/+1 counters and the like, that modify power/toughness, make the ceature enter with those modified stats. If Zegana enters the battlefield with more than one +1/+1 counter, that ability of Ezuri won't trigger, since she'll have at least 3 power."

I've seen Zada in action. Once it gets going, typically at least one person is going to get blown out on that turn. Dale's said his issue is that he can usually kill one or two players, but then flops to the last one as he's run out of steam.

MTG Muddstah Draw a card cantrips and stuff like brightstone ritual are his best friend, he can also use the mana rock paradox combo to cycle through a lot of cards in a turn to kill everyone if he wants. My Zada deck has either no gas at all or explodes like a true goblin bomb deck.

To bad Zada, one zada player has bad luck and another has good. The quickest kill i got with Zada was Turn 4. Turn 1 sol ring, turn 2 krenko's command, turn 3 Zada, turn 4 twin flame before it resolves flash in dualcaster mage.

Ian Rogers You're wrong. Zegana enters as a 1/1 as her ability triggers upon entering the battlefield. The counters are added after she enters but not before Ezuri sees her enter as a 1/1.

This is one of the reasons cards like Bane of Progress and Master Biomancer are -kinda- nonbo for the deck. I actually have an ezuri deck that is 80% the same build.

I may have made it unclear, but Matt said Dale was going to die. Matt still committed lethal towards Dale, Brie got what was leftover.
