Zadi lock barrel removal with removal key and steak knife

Thanks so much, you just solved a problem for me. I could not work out how to get that barrel out.

I have just sawn most of the pointy bit, but not all, off a metal nail file and it has worked equally as well as the steak knife. Just another alternative.

Question = will this tool / method release the lock barrel while it is in "situ" in the door ?

The barrel should be in the unlock position but yes it can. I believe I still have the tool and about 4 or 5 barrels with the same key (i bought wrong ones) . I can check later and get back to you. If you want them I can post to you free of charge. I will put my gmail address up and you can mail me if you want them. If you have the key number then these are widely available to buy online.

In Germany, they charge 50€, about 45£, for the removal key 🤮💰, thanks for the trick mate!

For private use its a bit much, but for a locksmiths it isnt.. You can easy take 20 bucks for "installing" a barrel
