Hi Dallas, I'm glad you are sincere and honest in your opinion. Due to to my own finding, unfortunately, l blind bought this fragrance, be AUSE it's not too expensive, and many reviewers on KZbin say it is beastmode. It isn't at all, l love the smell, it's good quality, but l feel it's more of a skin scent, which was a bummer, because l like fragrances to push out. And especially how this one smells, l wouldn't mind it, pushing out a bit more, but not in an overpowering way. Good job and waiting for the next one!

Man, I can totally relate! ❤ I used to love all the sweet and fresh generic fragrances, but discovering This is Him! by Zadig & Voltaire has been a humbling experience. Over time, I realized I didn't want to smell like everyone else - I wanted something unique. Trying This is Him! was like a gateway to a new world, teaching me to appreciate distinct scents. People who dislike this fragrance might come to appreciate it eventually as their tastes evolve. 🙏🙏

I use to wear this one during winter since some years now. It is absolutely great, but it has less well known brother called "Just Rock", which is also based on incence and vanilla but without the pepper. Instead of that it has tonka and patchouly instead of sandelwood. To me "Just rock" is the darker and more wild and woody brother. Not too sweet also, and equaly mature. So, I like that one a little more.

I prefer the Just Rock for him flanker, much deeper and darker smelling. Also the original got watered down, I bought it the week it came out and recently bought a new bottle, but it's clearly less long-lasting.

This was my 2nd ever parfum and initially I really liked it a lot. As it's a pretty one-dimensional scent (imo a kinda toned down, less fruity, less sweet version of Layton - not that Layton was especially fruity, This Is Him just is really dry/smokey), it went a bit out of my favor over time. On the one hand this is probably normal, especially when the collection grows. On the other I agree, it's still a pleasant scent, very safe and easy to wear. Nice for the fall/winter, can also be worn in the office. I got it really cheap 3-4 years ago.

I got the Vibes of Freedom flanker of this one, and I gotta say it's a great one. It's a very nice fougere (at least that's how I've seen it categorized), and I heard the original TIH! was even better, so I got it as a blind buy a few weeks ago, and I gotta say I have no regrets. Can't wait for the cold days to wear it!

WE have to give credit to Nathalie Lorson on this,it's her typical pepper woody spicy fragrance that she Can do endlessly. If you really want to understand her way of building frags you really have to test graphite from Montana (quite easy to find in France but don't know in the USA). it might take time to understand her input but once you GOT it...masterpiece ! i bought my graphite bottle for...17 bucks and it's an absolute steal ! brillant in the cold weather (8h easy). this is him is a very very solide release though 👍

I have both (this is him and just rock), but I didn't taste it yet. I was wearing a couple of times just rock, but I don't like it. It's like a turpentine wood at the opening, then it goes to vanilla wood. Now I'm going to sell just rock. But I'll give a chance to this is him. Thanks for the review!

@@ChaosFragrances Don't avoid Dallas, IMO it is head and shoulders above This is Him. Unfortunately Just Rock! has been discontinued and is very hard to find. One of my most liked fall / winter fragrances, often complimented by women. If you can get your hands on it, make a review on Just Rock. 😉

Unless you'll be working in an air conditioned environment I would say wear this around autumn or winter time, maybe early spring too. A cool summer night would work welll

Bought this one. I really like the smell, but the performance is the worst from all of the fragrances i've had ( 60+ fragrances ). I literaly spray it on, and after 30 seconds the is only a little faint smell of it on clothes or skin... And no, the bottle is not fake ( batch 217809 ). Maybe it needs some time on the shelf, i hope so, because I really don't want to be dissapointed with this one...

You might be going nose blind, sprayed it on the other day and it lasted a 5-6 hours on my hand, including several hand washes. Sprayed it on the next day and it was gone within 1 minute.
