You can find Zadra, the world's tallest hybrid roller coaster at Poland's biggest theme park, Energylandia. The ride's most unique aspect is the fact it was funded by YOU, if you live in the European Union that is. So, how did Zadra come to be? Well, that’s an interesting story, crammed with failure, rapid expansion, and lots of free money from the European Union.

It’s phenomenal how fast Energylandia has expanded in such a short space of time. It’s certainly become a worthwhile destination to visit. They really need some hotels to turn it into a resort.

Would the rmc coaster design benefit or hurn from having its supports made from Steel? or even giant suport poles like on regualr steel coasters. seems like alot of extra work to put in the wooden foundation,"just for looks" although i do like the look better and is classic. and wold love to help build a wooden coaster one day. does the wood cost less than steel supports

Now that it is a capital of coasters, they need to put say one big coaster's worth of investment towards some theme cohesion, park flow, and a multi building hotel system with some theatre shows, finer dining and the inevitable retail that surrounds the park creating themed backdrops and an overall multi day destination resort. At that point, it needs a connection to the national rail system and he's all set.

Crazy how much they’ve expanded…but with so many kiddie and family coasters and some areas that are just garbage compared to the newer ones, I’d like to see them go back and trash a bunch of those older coasters and areas and replace it with things up to their current standards. While it has about 5 great coasters, it needs some B&M’s and some more goodness from Mack and Intamin.

Going by Zadra´s RCDB Entry Alan Shilke aparently said that Zadra is 206 ft tall, that would put it at a tie with Iron Gwazi. However Energylandia did indeed claim higher numbers, but then again they are calling it a Wooden Coaster too. That being said, given that Iron Gwazi not only is 206 ft tall, but also features a 206 ft drop due to making use of terrain, I would still say that Iron Gwazi is the true winner here because IMO the biggest drop should count more than pure structural height.

As much as I want to travel there, as it looks like such a phenomenal park (with amazing coasters), Poland has been enacting some rather archaic laws & policies of late… such as declaring entire streets/towns “gay-free zones” and other such discriminatory things. You can declare a place a gay-free zone, but unless you’re in every single inhabitant’s bedroom, that’s ridiculous and clearly pompous hate speech. Overcompensating for other problems in the county. It’s one thing to dislike someone, but taking hate-speech to that level when you want your country to be respected on a global level? Well…It’s gonna take more than a theme parks’ rapid expansion to do that! But I bet the haters would tell me, “well, you’re gay, we don’t want you visiting here anyway.”
@coasterbot
@coasterbot 7 ай бұрын
I can totally appreciate why you wouldn't want to visit. In an ideal world you wouldn't even have to think about that before travelling to a new country. It's a very rose-tinted point but hopefully things will improve in Poland and these policies will be removed.
