Literally their live performances of this are 100x MORE INSANE!! They go so hard when they perform live. It really is spectacular.

WB. The opening vocal is Wooyoung’s angelic voice followed by Seongwha-I’ve always loved how this song contrasts gentle, sweet parts with that hard, dark part. The choreography is regarded as one of the hardest in K-pop. Live performance and dance practice are recommended. Some live performances (the more recent ones) do a shorter version of the song mostly because this choreo is hard and exhausting. This song is when San made his entry into the demon line. That last chorus he goes insane (in the dance video the camera shakes and the lights flicker). Fans are amazed that he doesn’t injure his neck. This song is a huge part of their pirate story. The dudes in black are alternate universe version of Ateez. Fandom calls them Halateez. When they were first introduced there was some question whether they were good or bad. Other videos with Halateez-Say My Name, Answer, and Deja Vu. Their Kingdom stages all include Halateez (their Rhythm Ta cover is Halateez in their alternate, oppressive universe). Comeback is July 29th and this comeback was entirely foreshadowed in their Kingdom Rhythm Ta stage.

This is the visual creation of HalATEEZ, the alternate version of themselves. The companion track here was Say My Name, and we get glimpses there of the HalATEEZ, and who they are. It's group lore and there's a lot of it. It looks from the teasers and what we've heard about the July 29th comeback (eee!) that we'll see the return of HalATEEZ and perhaps get more of their story, and Hong Joong has indicated we're not yet at the halfway point of the overall group story, which is exciting, because it means there's that much more to look forward to. I recommend 'The Real' for next one. You should check the first time they presented the song, it was in 'Kingdom' where they competed against other groups like Ikon, Stray Kids, Btob.. After the show they changed a song a bit and had a comeback with it, so it has a MV too. And then you can decide which version u like better. I think it would be fun

Halateez lives in a world where their government forbids any form of art. Also through technology the government have locked the people emotions too. YES, one of my favs, u have a loooong way to go. This is the first song I heard from them and I immediately fell in love.. especially with Jongho's voice.
