I know this may be hard to grasp, especially when you prefer ggs, but there are more concepts that 'cute' or 'sexy' and the industry allows the bgs more so than ggs to explore those. No, Ateez are not going to staple a smile on their faces for four minutes for you, because that is neither part of their concept nor in their personal interest. Is it really to much to ask for you to be a tiny bit open minded? You spent 26 minutes doubting the reality of their vocals, you solely pointed out the dance moves you didn't like (if there is something you liked, you can share with class, Wiley) all the while making no effort to connect to the video or the music in any way, shape or form. You pointed out Jonghos facial expression more than once and said it was too empty. But when it wasn't in Inception, you simply said 'there's just something about that one member'. Don't hide behind terms you don't understand, just say you don't vibe with him and continue with your day. Atiny can understand that sometimes you just dont like someone, it happens, we're not dumb. You don't need to question their skills as artists. You said multiple times 'that's just really not what I was expecting'. Is that a bad thing? Can you elaborate? what did you expect? What did they do differently? Can you Imagine a reason why they did it the way they did? What would you have preferred? I don't need a diagramm, but when we disagree on things, I have to ask why. Constructive criticism means, actually spending some time with the piece. It does not mean: watch it once and try to say as many mean things as you conceivingly can while doing it. Watching the video, it feels like you were searching for negative things to trash them, instead of positive things, you could identify with. There was no attempt to take the lyrics into consideration or obtain any sort of context for the storyline whatsoever. ('why is your bed diagonal in your room? that makes no sense' turn the lyrics on and you'll find out) That's lazy at best at willfully ignorant at worst. When you found yourself wondering about their facial expressions, wouldn't it make sense to watch a life performance or a fancam, to get a closer look at how they perform? Especially with the Inception- Comeback they put a lot of effort into acting (they released an entire short film about their storyline, you could have started there) When you were commenting about stage presence, wouldn't it make sense to watch concert footage, or a mama performance? In the 2019 Mama they did a mashup of their own, and some senior songs. Part of that was Miss A's 'Goodbye baby'. (You are familiar with ggs, maybe that intrigues you a bit more) And calling them names and flat out saying ew when you see them? That's just rude. You are allowed to dislike things; dance moves, haircolours, even entire human beings that you've never met, but its literally free to be nice (especially since it is their fans whom you are talking to with this platform and format)

@@CurlyWhirly you should specify the reason behind your opinion though. it would make the video more interesting and seem like you are actually giving criticism w/o just being rude about it. nobody can change your opinion but it would give others insight if you actually explain what you would prefer over what you say you don’t like about the groups you react to. i like both gg and bg but if you try to find a bg that has a similar style to gg’s you like your videos would probably be more fun to make (and too watch.) being honest is great (i think more people should be lol) but there is a fine line in certain places and you do come off a bit too rude sometimes. get opinions from friends, etc that know they music you like so you can branch out later after getting into groups.

Ok, since you value honesty so much, I’m gonna give you some constructive criticism: I’m all for giving honest reactions and not pretending to like a song if you don’t. The thing is, you’re just coming off as very negative Nancy here and in your txt reaction. The thing I like most about Ateez music is that they (the songwriters and writing members) like to play around with music theory when creating. It isn't always verse, prechorus, chorus, verse, prechorus, chorus, bridge, chorus, and the crescendos don't always lead to a climax, sometimes they themselves are the climax. As a result, it draws attention. For me, it's a refreshing change from what the vast majority of the rest of K-pop offers.

The boy that you called "dead eyes" is Jongho. Despite being the youngest and baby of the group, he is mature at heart. While his hyungs are very expressive, he is calm and composed most of the time. Jongho is also a very confident person and has a natural unbothered/chill facial expression. Beside the crazy vocal, I actually fall in love with the boy because of that specific expression of him ✊😀. One thing you need to understand about Ateez is a lot of their stuff is set in a darker tone and a lot of their songs are kind of based on pirates, as you probably could pick up in the chorus of Wonderland especially has a very pirate-ish feel to it. They do have two brilliant rappers, Mingi and Hongjoong. Jongho,the main vocalist has out of this world vocals. As much as I'm trying to understand your point of view (I was a gg stan up till June 2020 and then morphed into a multi stan stanning Ateez, Stray Kids, NCT, Shinee and many more bgs), you can still voice your opinions more respectfully. And as I see on the comments, I am not the only one that fells like that! And as for the lip singing is not something that you comment on MVs but on live performances. Come on, we all know that they don't sing on mvs because the song its pre recorded. On live performaces on stages you have to comment if they lip sing or if they don't and again, trust me on this, you will see that they are of the few that their singing while dancing live are top notch!But...you haven't watched live performances on concerts so, again, you speak without facts and speak bad about them! First learn, and then speak.

Hi, I thought a bit whether I should comment or not but might as well. First of all this is the first video I've seen by you and I couldn't finish it properly (for the reasons many have stated like the apparent lack of respect or interest) but then I thought I might sound quite similar if I were to listen most girl groups, as their often bubbly, sugary high pitched style isn't for me. Now I wonder if you would want to take another look at ATEEZ, even if it's just on your own, perhaps don't try their tittle tracks, those are often hype, anthem like for a good reason. May I suggest these (even if without reacting): -Take Me Home (no MV nor a live yet, but it's worth the try) -Promise (kind of performance MV filmed while touring Europe) -Dreamers (MV, Japanese release and the new ending song for Digimon anime) So yeah...perhaps be a bit more considerate, honestly is great when delivered with care^^

Yes, kpop stans are overprotective of their favs, and can get easily triggered, BUT I highly suggest you spend some time reflecting on why that is for your videos other than "they're mad bc I don't like it". I have no issue with people not liking a song or group I like, because everybody has their own tastes. There's plenty of songs/groups I don't like, but when something new comes out, I still go in with an open mind because I never want to not like something, or have the expectation that I won't like it. The problem with you is that it's not what you said, it's how you said it, AND it was your attitude. I could tell from the start that you were disinterested, and that colored your whole reaction. You did not come in with an open mind, and honestly, it seemed like you were looking for things not to like. You were overly critical, some of your criticisms made no sense AND you were flat out rude in some cases. There is a difference between being honest and being rude, and you are firmly on the side of rude. I even took a look at one of your girl group reaction vids and you were nowhere near as critical or nitpicky even though some of the same things you criticized here were present there as well. And to top it all off, in the comments you are dismissive to everyone who had a problem with your attitude. Now, to be fair to you, right now it seems like you just aren't used to boy group sounds and it's really throwing you off (like when you keep saying that the songs aren't going where you expect, or when auto-tune is used stylistically) which is understandable. I'm just now starting to get into girl groups, and there's some stuff that I am getting used to as well, and some of the songs that I initially didn't like grew on me. The difference is that you are putting stuff you aren't familiar with and bad stuff on the same level. I sincerely hope that as you continue on your boy group journey, you revisit these songs some day with a much better attitude.

i read a few comments before starting the video and quickly got that this was a terrible reaction. still decided to watch it tho. man, there's no way people will perceive your opinions as critical feedback reasons why i think that: - lack of interest in their music as a whole - not caring about the lyrics and how it ties up everything - ignoring the choreography and it's meaning - not seeming to have an understanding over conceptual performance (which is something ateez does that is very acknowledge by tons people) - not noticing their unique expressive/unconventional dance techniques and facial acting - something that made ateez stand out from the stereotype that idols can only performs as robots, which makes them one of the biggest role models of 4th gen groups - not breaking down the music videos and analysing the execution of the concept i'm always advocating for healthy discussions and the sharing of different opinions, but this whole video was the text book of problematic and i'm not gonna hold the fact you are a gg stan against you, that isn't an excuse for this type of behaviour. in fact, gives the impression that you could possibly be way more toxic when judging ggs according to your personal standards. i'm not even gonna go trough the offensive comments and borderline slurs you kept using while referring to the members. that whole show of self exposure does not concern me again, all this cannot be justified as critical feedback. you obviously don't have the education necessary to judge them in those certain levels, where they are clearly professionals, so why didn't you kept things as an 'adding/not adding to the playlist' type of opinion? you're totally allowed to express your dislike on something but decided to do it in a poor and pathetic way. why bothering reacting at all? if you wanna do it properly, you have to try to understand what you are getting into so then you can be able to provide a fair judgment. gg stans are often criticized for the most small and unreasonable things, why contribute to perpetuate such behaviour by acting like a close-midend hatred person? sorry if i ended up offending you, but i really felt that sharing my thoughts would be worth it
