The thing I love most about Zagara is that her strategy... makes sense - lore wise, that is. The Zerg's greatest strength is their unending number and Zagara being a Broodmother, she's the closest you get to a 'pure Zerg' leader, so naturally, her tactic would be to just throw bodies at the problem until it solves itself!

I had a terrible time with Zagara at level 1. It's only at higher levels that she started being enjoyable.

I think the trick when I first started Zagara years ago was to mass queens. I couldn't get the anti air without spending all my vespene.

This is legit my go-to commander when I just want to cause maximum chaos lol Played 2 games with a friend where she played Kerrigan. The second one I got Zagara (who was max level) and slaughtered everything. I'll never get over her screech of "HOW IS SHE NOT THE LEADER OF THE ZERG!?"

@@ToxicSpilll yeah I have. I know she becomes the Overqueen-- but my friend was more confused of the overall powerspike between Kerri and Zag (I didn't tell her Zag was max level). If we had All-In* Kerrigan she'd probably understand but she won't pay for Blizz products right now.

@@ToxicSpilll Depends on the Prestige Level. There is one, where Zagara isn't even on the battlefield... And that's my personal favorite. Swarmlings doesn't hatch 3 at the same time anymore, as they hatch 4 from a single pod. Scourges also spawn one extra unit per egg. Your Baneling Nest will spawn 8 Banelings free instead of 4, and your Scourge Nest will spawn 4 Scourge for free the same rate. (You can only have one of both though.) Also, your army maximum grows to 150. You cannot make frenzied units or drop some roaches on the enemy, but your units will came such a large numbers, and you can recreate your army so fast (especially if your partner is a Protoss with at least 2 Nexus and with some brain), that you can send an endless wave of suicide units to the face of the enemy. (The Chrono Boost ability of the Nexus increase the speed of your free units spawn rate.) And they only cost your initial building cost... And, of course, the Overlords/Overseers, what are still needed to increase your cap to the max. By the way, this video needs a refresh - the Mastery set was slightly changed to: Mastery Power Set 1: - Zagara and Queen Regeneration (Now it's not limited only to Zagara) - Zagara Attack Damage Mastery Power Set 2: - Intensified Frenzy (swap it's place with Baneling Damage from Power Set 3) - Zergling Evasion Mastery Power Set 3: - Roach Damage and Life - Baneling Damage (swap it's place with Intensified Frenzy from Power Set 2)

@@ToxicSpilll Have you had a chance to use her Scourge Queen Prestige? At first I hated having to restart from the Prestige... but once I got her back up to 15? I was having whole body and soul gasms because unit cap is increased +50, Zagara is removed and all multi-hatch units gain +1 unit per Larva. There's something cathartic about sending a literal unending tidalwave of 250 mini ultralisks that almost can't die to overwhelm your enemy. And if the army is instantly wiped out? No bigs, I got 8k minerals on standby and can instantly respawn the whole army 4 times over if they all died instantly after spawning.

Hey I've watched quite a few of these now, and really like them. I know some of these videos are quite old by now, but I realised that you tend to forget to mention detection capabilities for each commander. If you ever feel like it maybe it'd be worth putting up a video on the detection capabilities of each commander how what you think about them!

Zagara has only 2 entries in my head: Level 1 Baneling wave antics. And the Carbot animation of same, Zerg Swarm theme blaring and chibi Zagara throwing Banelings like wedding rice. 2:40 Hey now. Blisters are entirely sterile, and so are wombs, eggs and chrysalises.

ok this goes into the category of spamming.. lol but i have watched this clip for the third time now and zagara is my favorite commander so far. But if i remember correctly sloppy but effective was not said by zagara, zagara created the abberations because of need and the abscence of the queen of blades but abathur was actually the one saying it while he reviewed the abberations :) correct me if i am wrong, still enjoy the vid :)

I want to add a note that, with ling being super cheap and morp instantly in 3, the zergling invasion is hella OP tbh, and most of the time I didnt spawn much baneling because they kinda fcked ur economic harder, the free one is already good enough

With the Scourge Queen prestige, Zagara is my strongest commander by far. I’m not an excellent player, and she’s the only commander where I feel confident on Brutal difficulty. The mission where you collect parts and fight boss hybrid is so fun and so easy with her

For me, i am not good with timing Frenzy, but those roaches are pretty nice, especially if there are a few abominations among them (only if you already evolved their special defensive trait, which increase the armor of the units beside them). But i mostly go without Zagara (i think it's Prestige level 1) - the 150 supply with both the extra free Banelings and free Scourges are more than enough for me.

Do you morph your Hatcheries to Lairs and Hives just for the aesthetic or structure health maybe? You only need a single Hive to access all your units and upgrades.

It is true that you need only 1 for upgrades, but because Zaragra floats on minerals so much that I can speed the excess resources to do so, I always thought it could have a higher max larva.

Bored while waiting for diablo 4, decided to check if i still had achievement to do in co-op 😂good ole Zagara was standing there level 2. I gave up Brutal right away. Zagara was made for those with great micro management skills. AT level 8 its alittle better. I also found out that they do incredibly better on creep, so now i carry 2 queen to pave the way lol.

I'm happy you say that. I sometimes think that my videos are just not good enough and demand that I do better. I don't like causing shit with other people normally but yeah. I hate the fact that some people create low-quality, drama and lazy content and make millions of views and live extravagant lives. Zagara probably has the highest skill cieling and the lowest skill floor.that being said I only ever spawn swarmling and baneling with a tiny 15-30 supply flock of bees for base defense

I don't understand, I mass 100 supply of Abs, zerglings and banelings and my whole army just dies to an attack wave like its butter and the attack wave is still standing. Frenzy with it. How much better does Zagara get post level 5? Obv I know level 5 is shit without Swarmlings and Splitters but damn she's NOT impressive when leveling so far

Have you unlocked the zerg cache yet? I found that the upgrade is better starting level 6. Whether you want to buy that hero is on you. If you enjoy the playstyle available for Zagara, buy her. If not, don't get here and keep your money.
