As a medical student I will tell you what happens exactly when people say they are seeing things or hearing things that are apart from normal, paranormal. Basically our brain processes the reality we perceive through neural impulses and coordinated neuro transmitters and inhibitors and hormones like dopamine, serotonin, glycine , GABA etc. When there is an abnormally elevated or reduced synthesis of these hormones or when the neural function is disintegrated, our brain confuses between reality and our memory. Now, even the memory is also extremely entangled, at times it gets so twisted that a person`s mind may create a whole different looking person that doesn't even look like a normal human being. Even auditory visual processing is confused due to abnormalities in these neurotransmitters in our brain which is why people hear things or see things that actually dont exist at all something we call as hallucinations. This confused state of mind causes all sorts of disorders like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, ocd, epilepsy and yes the most horrific disorder schizophrenia. All these disorders are linked to serotonin and dopamine abnormality and neuro disintegration. It happens to normal people too randomly. Its just our brain that is confused and whatever it processes unfortunately also becomes a memory or a past trauma for us and so that abnormal inhuman like object may just aswell get imprinted in the head which further worsens schizophrenia. I really hope nobody has to suffer from Schizophrenia, its like you are at a war with the unknown that you are losing by getting tortured each second until your last breath.

Hi...I totally agree with you. My mother has schizophrenia. The only way thing we as family can do is make sure she takes her medicines on time as per instructions of psychiatrist. And this really helps. She is almost normal in her behaviour now ..but still sometimes she gets hallucinations or recalls a false memory. But in this criminal case, I am surprised that the guy didn't receive any medical help despite his mother and sister being doctors. They should have been able to diagnose that he has mental illness issue.

Great explanation :) But there are still some things that can't be explained. My grandma (a very gentle woman) used to see beings, and everyone thought she had some psychological disorder. But after she passed, my uncles, who were still living in my grandparent's house, had to abandon the house because there were invisible beings making their lives impossible by, e.g., smashing things in locked rooms at night and generally creating chaos for them. I would like to think it was a collective hallucination ... is that possible?

I am schizophrenic....and I have been seeing Ghosts since I was 6 yrs old...it seemed real ....when you suffer from it everything seems real..but I stopped hallucinating two yrs back when I got diagnosed and started medicine...at the age of 29....I suffered almost 24 yrs of my life which I will never be able to bring back

It was so that the mannequin could look like a real dead body (his own), he stuffed it with various materials, so as to make the people believe that the whole family was murdered and burnt, and no one was alive. He had done intense research about the murder before execution .

Excellent narration.! My thoughts : I too believe his mother must have noticed something in his son at the age of 9. Bcoz to be a cardiologist, one has to study 5.5 years of MBBS, 3 years of MD and another 3 years for Super speciality like cardiology. Thats 12 years of study and not even counting her practicing years.!!!! So she must have noticed something that is beyond medical science.
