The beleagured Zairean president, Mobutu Sese Seko, met the
president of neighbouring Congo in Kinshasa for talks on
Saturday (12/4).
At the meeting, President Pascal Lissouba of Congo reassured
Mobutu of his continuing support - despite the presence of
several thousand foreign battle troops stationed in the Congo
capital, Brazzaville.
