I haven't heard this song in years... I forgot just how catchy and addictive it was. Once again, my new favorite! It's a deconstructed version of Paranoid and maybe even a better song! If you played Paranoid in eighth-notes, instead of sixteenth-notes, it would probably sound pretty close to this song. That's why Sabbath has such a hard time making Paranoid sound good live; the super-fast tempo of the studio version doesn't translate well, live. If Black Sabbath played Paranoid in eighth-notes (1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and), instead of sixteenth-notes (1 e and a 2 e and a 3 e and a 4 e and a), it would have a much better sound, when played live. I understand Tony Iommi's thinking while writing the song to make it sound like a maniac having a brain seizure, but if it was played at a slower tempo (like Fire It Up) it would have been an even better song!
