If you wanted to here it played like the original, listen to the original. This is the "Zakk" version. The pinch harmonics are essentially his signature. You knew what you were getting into when you clicked the link.

The problem here isn't the pinch harmonics. It's the bionic modern metal tone. I love his playing, but man this song requires more bass girth and less scooped crunch.

Tony Iommi is a classy player with more music in his missing finger ends than Zak has in his whole body. This is just an appalling noise - no class. Absolutely f..king abysmal - but I am sure Zak could be a decent guitarist but I have never hear him show it.

Not as hard as it seems especially on this type of song, Ozzy sang his lyrics with the riff as opposed to Dio who preferred to sing his lyrics across the riff, I love them both so this is not a comparison just two different vocal methods, I tend to sing with the riff when I write songs because my mouth and hand are executing the same rhythm, I find it very difficult to sing across a riff when I am playing.

I have no problem with using pitch harmonics. They're a great way to emphasize a note, but when you overuse emphasis, it turns into annoyance.

Zakk is the guy that put pinch harmonics on the map in 1988! (No Rest for the Wicked) EVH popularized tapping. Zakk did the same with his distinctive pinch harmonics.

Outstanding vocals. Killer tone and the main solo is right on. At times, his tremolo picking is overwhelming. I guess he's doing what people want to hear. Zakk is a beast on guitar, but I'll take the old-school, dark Iommi melancholy SG sound without all the pinching.

Zakk's an awesome guitar player and I love him, but I agree with aldersmoke. This is an anthem of stoner-metal, and stoner metal needs a beefier sound. And for fucks sake, I clicked on here for a Into the Void Cover, not a collection of pinchharmonics and a Into the Void cover stuffed in (the cover itself was great).
