Damn he's good!! Ozzy always knew how to pick a fucking kick-ass guitarist!! Always loved his signature sound, and style too!

The sick part is he was playing Randy's songs note for note perfect as a teenager working at Silverton Music in NJ.

I like how plays something full speed says "so that's that part" and moves on to the next crazy thing like we all could even figure out how he actually played it

The perfect reference of pentatonic style! In this video Zakk as usual shows his crown style of playing. He takes guitar not only as a peace of art, but also a real working musical instrument. That is why Zakk uses such a thick strings (10-60, 11-70). Zakk is not scared to play aggressively (lots are scared) and employ all these deep vibratos (respect to John Sykes) and pinch harmonics to make guitar roar or cry... Zakk's guitar sound is very open (thanks among others to Marshall and MXR). Also his famous right hand picking technique makes his solos sound very decisively, like a sound of a perfectly tuned engine. Add on top of this his special style of talking: «you know a..., it's just a..., then... that's it!». Combination of all these things (and many others, not mentioned in this comment) give a true rock legend that stays forever. The minor note is that overdriven Les Paul can produce so much sounds other than based on pentatonic scale. However, for Zakk it was a right way to go.
