MG Gundam TR-1 Hazel II (Review)

Hazel II has the tri-booster and the advanced sensors behind the main camera on the v-fin, the early type is the souped up Quel with the gundam head, the Hazel reserve is the specific GM Quel that eventually became the Hazel II.

With the options of this kit it makes it straight up awesome. Here's the thing. It makes more sense to go HG with AoZ, being that there are so many HG variants. You can have a more complete AoZ army in 144 scale. Plus they're way more poseable. That aside, even though the AoZ MG's seem like kits that should have come out nearly 10 years ago, this one in particular is pretty damn awesome.

Hmm. With this release there's just one step left for making Hazel Owsla in MG form - a Primrose kit. I really hope it's a tendency and if it is - I like it. And you still have the whole kit after taking the backpack for Hazel Owsla, though 😀

I just dont get it with the ammo pack..on the side..there are those yellow covers on bith sides.. should there be atleast 1 on those on the gun?

I’ve always thought of the yellow bits as just armor bits or caps to keep the ammo protected until use 🤷‍♂️

You can make another canon Hazel 2 variant using the Hazel custom backskirt and you need the double shield booster latch and two shield boosters from the Advanced Hazel. It was the go-between the two.

MG are much more expensive for Bandai to produce so probably won’t see too much more. A Woundwort would be dope though

The gm quell's rifle is what the hazel II is supposed to be using canonicaly right? Cuz that's how I posed my Hazel II. Can anyone here who knows the lore tell me which rifle the hazel II actually used?

The HG version of the Hazel II also comes with both beam rifles, so I'm guessing both were used canonically. But the Gundam Wiki specifically mentions the Quell's rifle under armaments.

I’m pretty sure the Hazel II Early-Type is a step between the Haze I and the Advanced Hazel, while the Hazel II is a step between the Woundwort and the Hyzenthelay.

What is it with the hazel design that compels me to buy every single version? Man I love this kit. Wasn't able to snag a second one for the gm quell though.

After doing alot of analysis..lol...i would require 4 units of this to make the rgm kai space , earth, powered and custom to a 2.0 lol..lets not forget the original kits to mix bash it...that 8 kits..🤣..i bought 3 of these for the hazel variations..should had gone pocket deep for 7 lol.

Of course I like the original mg version better. What is Bandai thinking shrinking down the kits for more moolah. Fuck that. Take the awesome Red frame for example. Too skinny, too small. The pvc though is the best yet. And what about the fucking upper arm joints. Cheapo, cheapo, cheapo, marvel legends and Mattel mucho better. Great review though brother.
