I got this case, it has good air flow. I did the same thing you did when installing the graphics card, took out the top expansion slot then put it back in.

I bought this case last June ('20) for a Micro build and luv it. I personally would not use this for an ATX build. This is a better build with flat PSU cables as I did have to mode some of the inside edge of the opaque panel off with a dremel to get it to close over the CPU cable. You also have to thread the CPU cable in before you put the MOBO in othewise you will not be able to fit the connector through the small opening provided. I actually like the look of your son's old case better, even though it lacks the ventiliation the S2 has. Last night the blue "Power On" came on, then went off and has since stayed off. No big deal as I know the rig powers on when I switch the PSU on but have to wonder what kind of cheap (LED?) bulb they used for the blue light. Did you know btw, the sell a version of this now that has a (clear) glass panel instead of the acrylic one?

Thanks for watching, sounds like you had fun on your build, I enjoy modding myself. It makes your mod unique and one of a kind. I too enjoy the old case my son had we still have it as a matter fact as a back up but he truly needed more airflow he does a lot of editing and high-performance gaming and I have to be honest since he’s been using this new case he’s had no issues with CPU heat. Seems like the price keeps going up as i just grabbed this for $65 an i think i should have grabbed something else for $30 more or so. I had planned to put MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK motherboard, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 80+ Gold 600W PSU, AMD Ryzen™ 7 5700X 8-Core CPU and RTX 3060 Twin Edge OC 12GB GDDR6. I am not sure on what CPU cooler to get or 2 top fans, / good replacements if they even fit on top. I dont care about RGB at all really. Im hoping this all works out as i desperately need a upgrade

I totally understand your concern, my son needed an upgrade as well and the case was chosen for its good air flow properties. The Ryzen 7 5700x should be fine with a good AMD heat sink due to the cases air flow, but since you mentioned you also need the top case fans you might not be to far on price to get a mid budget water cooler since it will include heat sink-fans-cooler. Most now a days there made slim for your reason and that is case fitting. If you do choose a heat sink and fan setup be sure to get good air flow fans for top of case but with low noise levels. Personally I’ve always used Corsair 120mm fans for case and there mid budget coolers with no issues and great performance. Hope this helps good luck and stay safe and sound.👍🏽✌🏽

this case is so nice I first seen that psu style hiding spot I think called shroud late last year I just found out this month it's called a psu shroud It looks so cool I never seen a case where the drives can be hidden so good it looks like it's not one installed in it it's like everything is in the back thats real good for cable management and it looks like it's easy to clean cause of the material of the case

@@cmoneytheman I truly don’t know why they would be saying this? The design for airflow performance is exactly why I got this case. I can only assume they either don’t have proper airflow directed fans installed or they don’t have the adequate amount, it could also be perhaps insufficient thermal grease or low quality thermal grease installed on the processor, as well as probably inadequate fan for their heat sink or heat sink in general. Im sure it could be a number of reasons why they make that statement. However in my case airflow is phenomenal my PC under high ultra settings on graphics card running a Ryzen 5 3600 for hours of gaming my PC max temp hits 72 Celsius.

@@cmoneytheman Nice graphics card with that set up on this particular case I would install three inlet fans in the front and two exhaust fans on the top with one extra exhaust fan on the rear for a total of six and you should be fine. If you can be sure to get quality good fans, airflow is a major KeyPoint in PC longevity as well as performance.👍🏽✌🏽

Hi there...thanks for video. Can you tell me your HDD tmperatures? I got same case with just original 2 fans in front and one back. My HDD is 40 C in idle. Toshiba p300 3TB. In my room is 26-27 C now. :) You don't have third bottom fan in front also?

I have exact same case, but the USB 3 in the front panel does not work. Do you recommend doing anything that might fix it?

Thanks for watching, I would re-seat the USB cable connection from the motherboard and then check in Bios under USB to make sure legacy is set to active or on depending on your Bios configuration then reboot. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching stay safe and sound.👍🏽✌🏽

i know this is kinda old but how did you remove the back panel?

Thanks for watching the back panel was never removed. I think you’re referencing the side panel. If that’s the case there’s a total of four screws that hold the plexiglass in place. Once you undo the screws you have access to the inner case on the right side there’s two screws that are towards the back and if you push that panel towards the back of the PC that comes unhinged and allows you access to that right side of the case I hope this information helps. Thanks for watching, no worries man I don’t see it as being rude. Everyone has an opinion and I don’t see a problem with it. I did like the original case myself it’s just that the newer case offered a lot more airflow therefore a lot more cooler running CPU. Stay safe👍🏽✌🏽
