Brother Consider the ZUS core Wide Guard Zamazenta, focus sash Urshifu-SS, Tera-Normal Sinistcha. You do lose pollen puff amoongus, but in exchange the Shadow Rider match up is completely solved. Even the Wolfe clefairy team cannot deal with it.

Honestly, Behemoth Bash should scale with Defense, like it doesn’t need the buff, but it doesn’t make much sense that Zacian’s signature move was perfect for it within the context of SwSh, while Zamazenta’s felt like it was clashing with its kit.

You know something dumb, Zamazenta's probably one of the few pokemon that can use Tera Bug. Flips 2 of its weaknesses (Fighting and Ground), still weak to Fire, but you won't get one shot by Landorus Earth Power or a Sacred Sword from Zacian or Chien-Pao, maybe.

Zamazenta usually gets complemented by a team that can handle calyrex without it (or at least that’s the build theory). You can probably assume that any team comp that can handle calyrex could also handle dirge.

I found a big zamazenta problem is ghost type in general, i usually tera my inci ghost and will o wisp than it's basically a game of kill everything while loop inci to controll zamazenta

I think that roar could see a spike in usage to respond to both zamazenta and zacian, as well as the many other boost sweepers in regulation g.

moltres galar seems fire with zamazenta for snarl tailwind great bulk and flying coverage which helps quite a bit with calyrex adds speed control and snarl and fiery wrath are annoying to switch into especially if you get a sitrus berry berzerk boost, and game ending if they get a second

If Zamazenta continues to rise as a restricted threat I do see more players trying out Skeledirge just because it's really good at checking Zamazenta, Caly-Ice, and Koraidon even though it has a horrible matchup into Caly-Shadow and Kyogre

Thoughts on ho-oh? I think its a solid pick. Extremelu threatening to physical attackers, great pivots with regenerator, and an insane spdef to eat damage from the special attackers. Even hard walls zamazenta and threatens burns on it. Definitely a sleeper pick

The Focus Sash Single Strike, Tera Normal Sinistcha, and Wide Guard Zamazenta core has completely solved my Shadow Rider match up. You NEED the After You clefairy tech AND tera fighting Calyrex-SR to stand a chance, because otherwise Sinistcha runs away with the game. Tera-Grass clefairy and another trick room friendly fighting type might also make the cut but I haven't seen that tech be run yet. Besides, I can still bring a 4th pokemon to solidify the core.

My only way to beat Zamazenta was to burn it. Because apparently Body Press uses the defense stats Number as atk and not the defense stat itself. So Burn still halves the damage

Burn doesn’t actually halve attack in Gen 8 and 9, it halves the base power of physical moves.

I think Rayquaza is top tier. Do the Chien-Pao Dragonite combo but with Rayquaza instead and Rayquaza picks up so many KO's. Choice band, tera normal ESpeed next to Chien-Pao can one shot a lot of the common stuff if they aren't trained for max bulk.

Rayquaza likely isn't top tier precisely because it's just slightly better Dragonite. 134 atk to 150 isn't a super crazy jump in exchange for your restricted spot. The opportunity cost doesnt justify the slight gains you get. Think of it like this, I can have Rayquaza, or I can have slightly weaker Rayquaza AND Calyrex/Zacian/Koraidon/Miraidon. There are pokemon that do what Rayquaza does 90% as good as Rayquaza does them but there aren't any pokemon that can really replace the damage/sun combo from Koraidon (Groudon doesnt count because its also a restricted mon), damage/electric terrain of Miraidon, or damage + snowball potential from Calyrex.

Ttar is best answer to caly shadow and u can change the weather so it won’t benefit other mons like urshifu rapid wich could be problematic, that’s why u neee raging bolt on ur team.
