im just listing out the hair changes cuz it seems to be important to the story and i have no idea whats going on 1st verse-chorus: starts with short hair down to shoulders with purple section 2nd verse: long hair, purple section is being cut by the man in the 1st chorus 2nd chorus: two braids, purple strand has been cut short bridge and last chorus: one braid has come undone. also they're stabbing someone? maybe the dude that cut their hair? Outro: both braids are undone and their purple strand has grown out.

I think the hair is to symbolize different levels of compliance/control with the woman. The woman with the flowers has tightly bound, white hair, while the girl has a sense of individuality with the purple. Its cutting away the individuality and slowly 'binding' her to the control of the woman. When they get to the end, she is slowly becoming free from her, and she is now able to be 'herself' at the cost of literally cutting out the woman controlling her.
