It is very hard not to feel relief when someone has harmed you at any way that when that person has had karma has come back round to bite them.....very difficult not to feel "yes they deserved it".....

What if the person ridiculed you first and then misfortune fell upon them? I’ve seen many corrupt imams get away with terrible things from stealing to molesting women and even dark magic. It’s hard to trust people as it is. The more religious the person is the more righteous they act. I rather pray for justice than my enemies happiness because if they don’t go through hard times like I have than they won’t understand my problems that they are making fun of me for.

Notes: • Never express joy at someone’s misfortunes; o You may eventually suffer a calamity that is equal or worse. o The person suffering from misfortune may do tawba. • Make supplication to seek refuge from; o The troubles we will face from trials and tribulations. o Misfortunes. o Bad fate and destiny. • Rejoicing at one’s misfortunes is usually as a result of jealousy, envy and hate. • It’s ok to be relieved and joyful when violent people are no longer a threat.

I heard this too another scholar said it’s a Buddhist concept and term not Islamic and we are not to believe what goes around comes round. Our prophet said at his last sermon, do not hurt no one so no one hurts you, this makes sense as people can hurt back so best to avoid it.
