it may just be that when you have god blood you are predisposed to inherit some of their godliness. the Greek gods were known for being perfect, beautiful and fit figures so it could be that genetically they just appear like that. the likes of six packs and that dehydrated muscles look is more aesthetic than practical, so it may be that greek god blood just makes you look naturally more 'attractive'. or it's just a video game and deimos being a twig would look lame next to Kratos.

Usually i scoff at prequels but i think this is a rare exception where the prequels greatly improved the story. Kratos was a raging monster in Gow 2 and it almost felt justified for zeus to put him down. GoS fills in the gaps and explains WHY Kratos is so mad, he's angry at Zeus is not just for revenge but for all the shit Gods put him through for his entire life.

Yeah, well that's the thing about tragic stories - they don't get happy endings. The Greek Saga is all about tragedy. But the Norse Saga is more bittersweet. Kratos' actions had consequences, and he learns to live with those consequences. 1. Kratos never gets Lysandra back, but he eventually remarries after he meets Faye. 2. Kratos never got Callipoe back, but now he has Atreus. 3. Kratos never got his brother back, but now he and Mimir are joined at the hip. (Pun intended.)

Since the next god of war is going to be Egyptian gods I believe, if they let Osiris become a character (the Egyptian god of resurrection, the afterlife and the underworld) he could resurrect Deimos so we’ll get to see Deimos and kratos make up and fight together against the gods. It would create a very interesting conflict between someone who’s still very committed to the Spartan lifestyle, and someone who’s lived it through to the end, and wants to change his life and leave peacefully with his son. Essentially letting kratos see himself as he once was, in his now resurrected brother.

At least Thanatos's monster form looks great. Like an undead dragon in Greece.

It would have been really cool if deimos survived this fight with thanatos And then Had accompanied kratos on his adventures in God of war 2 and god, of war 3 that would have been really cool to see how that would have worked out if kratos and deimos were together for the last 2 games of the series.
