your footage looks soo good! but others that are reviewing dont look nearly as sharp or crisp -- wonder if they ar using a differrent compression for there videos or if it is the lighting -- great work!

this is a great in depth vid. so many great and updated features. and your footage looks amazing - got to say, some other peoples footages doesnt look half as good, maybe that's cos they don't know how to get the best out of it? either way, you are a trusted source of information. keep up the great work buddy.

I've only had my X3 for about a year and I don't use it a lot. More just for personal use for fun so I can't really justify upgrading at this point even if it's tempting to do so. I can wait 2 years or less for the X5 where it will be an even bigger upgrade.

Do you feel part of the problem is the media management ? I know what I hate the most about my X2 is how to handle the media itself ! The fact the android app doesn't support external storage is really the biggest problem with this camera !

When you take the X4 360 footage into Insta360 Studio, can you still only reframe and export a (slightly cleaner) native 1080p video? Or can you export a native 4K video? Changing the export settings to 4K on the X3 always seemed to give poor results. Hoping 8K 360 provides a reasonable 4K video image (and a Native 4K export option) once it's framed. Yay or Nay?

The actual native export is 2.7k, so the resolution has doubled, it’s a much cleaner image

@@ZanderRound thank you. It’s crazy how hard it is to find this info. You’d think native export settings for framed footage would be a listed spec. No one seems to care though 😅

So you know if you can lock the horizon / view aspect while in 3D mode? Previously not possible with insta. I fly aerobatics and want to be able to lock the view rather than for the software to constantly trying to keep the sky "up" . I had to switch to GoPro who have this feature and was beyond surprised that Insta didn't.

Had the X1, novelty wore off fast. Bought the X2, novelty wore off fast. Skipped the X3. Now the X4 comes out and I feel like the novelty would wear off fast again. This thing is just such a pain in the butt to use. Transfer speeds were always PAINFULLY slow. Editing and exporting was PAINFULLY slow. Quality was BAD if used in anything but SUPER BRIGHT day. Only reason I'd consider one these days would be as a drone alternative, since flying becomes harder and harder.

I have heard in another video that it can be paired with an Apple Watch for GPS data, do you know if this is true.?

X3 has 72MP photos and 18MP hdr photos only, does x4 have HDR photos at 72mp?

I just tested for the first time my Insta360 X4 with the water Case for snorkeling compare to my Gopro 11, and let me tell you, I was so disappointed with the quality of the footage with the Insta360 X4. Am I the only one, or am I missing something here ?

If you mean 360 mode and single lens mode on both sides, then yes it does.
