Lord’s Stows that you passed twice or thrice is a great coffee place that serves Portuguese Chinese egg tarts.

Philippines: anything purple food almost always equates to Ube which is purple yam. Desserts never fail with Ube: Halo Halo is a must. You hit the jackpot with: LECHON, roasted pork with the sauce unfound in any part of the planet. If you are a modern malls person: BCG and Mall of Asia (MOA). My wife loves your Bangkok trip and now you are in my country. Enjoy!!! 😂

In Filipino dishes/cuisine, we don't use much spices, herb and chilis unlike our other Asian neighbours. Our food is very straightforward, yet very delicious. Spanish influence is obvious too, such as our national dish which is Adobo (spanish for marinate). We also don't use chopsticks unlike almost all our Asian neighbours. Also, vinegar and sugar is very present in almost all of our food esp the street food. It' like taste bud activator. haha 😊

Mabuhay Zane! Definitely recommend staying and hanging around BGC which is the new downtown area for Metro Manila. Makati CBD is also really nice, as is Ortigas (they're the 3 main downtown areas) - the area around MOA is a large new area in the Bay - you can see the world's largest Ikea, and the worlds second largest dancing fountain at Okada. They do free shows between 6-10pm every day. If you're able to go to Baguio and the Cordillera highlands and see the 2500 year old rice terraces on the UNESCO world heritage list (its 3-4 hour trip via bus on the expressway to Baguio, but a longer trip to see the rice terraces once you're in the pine-filled highlands) - or Batanes (the NZ of Southeast Asia), its highly highly recommended :)
