I’m Egyptian, i’d say not all middle eastern countries have the same food but we have so much in common, i mean this mukbang is mostly lebanese food but tahini and falafels (we call it taameya) are also popular Egyptian foods however, lebanese people make falafels from chickpeas but Egyptians make them from fava beans so they still taste a bit different :D Oh and the baba ghanouj, it is not only made from eggplants in Egypt we add tahini with the eggplant and blend them and i think the lebanese one is made with hummus

Gyros are Greek but what you're eating now is Lebanese food. Lebanon is located in the Middle-East. The Middle-East is constituted of several countries which have similar cuisine but not the same. For example Baba Ghannouj is pure Lebanese. Falafel is more of regional than Lebanese but the Lebanese ones are the best. The salad that you're eating is called Tabbouleh and it is pure Lebanese as well.

Masa Masri actually, no he was correct and certain food they were eating was pure Lebanese food like he said and other foods they ate weren’t.

My family makes the green salad (Tabouli) with parsley mint lettuce tomato wheat germ olive oil garlic lemon juice and we like frozen petite peas in it as well...everything's chopped very finely and it's better after it's been refrigerated for a while...the lemon juice really soaks into the veggies and herbs and wheat germ so it can be sour...so good!!!

Lebanon is in the middle east but it is very close to the Mediterranean! Many people living in the middle east are considered Arabs. Greece is in the mediterranean it’s not apart of the middle east but it kind of is close.

Well known vegan greek foods is legumes soup like chickpea , lentils , beans etc. Stuffed peppers or tomatoes with rice (gemista). Spinach pie , potato pie , leek pie. Eggplant spread. Spinach with rice ,cabbage with rice, leek with rice , green beans with potatoes and carrots , stewed okra , briam (zucchini, potatoes, eggplant, and bell peppers baked together with tomato sauce), gigantes (beans in tomato sauce).I said the more common. And of course there are so more non vegan that you can transform to vegan. Maybe sometime you can do that.

Gyros are Greek!! Mediterranean food and Arabic food are almost the time.
@ali26366 жыл бұрын
emma reynolds Gyros aren't Greek really. They are Turkish as well as Shawarma. Turks made the original Doner Kebab then the Greeks copied it and made the mystery meat very bad for health hot dog version of Doner Kebab. Baklava came from Turkey and Baklava is a Turkish word as well not Greek. Yogurt isn't Greek either that's Turkish and is a Turkish word as well. Kababs aka meat on a stick came from Iran which is Persia. The reason why Arabs and places like Pakistan have similar food is because of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. The Turks ruled Greece for hundreds of years and didn't forcefully convert the Greek Christians living there.

@ali26366 жыл бұрын
That food is Arab food particularly Levantine Arab food comprising the countries of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and the Palestinian Territories. The reason why you're thinking it's similar to Greek food is because of the Turkish Islamic empire which ruled Greece and Islamic countries for hundreds of years. Through the Turks Greeks got food influences from different parts of the Islamic aka Arabic world. Greek Baklava (Baklava is originally from Turkey) is different from Turkish style Baklava which is different from Lebanese and Jordanian style Baklava. Souvlaki isn't even Greek either that is just kabab under a different name which came from Iran which was Persia. Greeks didn't invent pita which is an Arab word and that was invented by the Arabs.
