Revan loredump (you asked for this, Zanny): • Revan was a Jedi knight when the Mandalorians were at their peak and decided to have a galactic war against the Republic • The Council refused to directly assist in the war, they said it could give rise to a "greater evil" • Revan called 🧢, left the Order with his best friend Alek and a lot of the younger Jedi, basically won the war for the Republic • The Mandalorian leader told Revan about Vitiate, Revan and Alek went to go kill him, he kicked their asses and turned them into Sith • Used an ancient space station to build an armada and conquer the galaxy for himself • got his shit kicked in by a Jedi names Bastilla and his sith apprentice betraying him, the Council wiped his mind and made him a Jedi again • Revan then killed his old apprentic Alek (going by Darth Malek) married Bastilla, had a kid, then got some of his old memories back and left to find Vitiate again • Got his ass kicked again, imprisoned for 300 years. At that point, you're at The Old Republic • his philosophy on the Force and Jedi/Sith is that they're both dumb religions and that if you're disciplined enough you can draw from both. • In short, Revan is #SkillIssue the character and I love him

I would like to clarify/expand on just a couple things, but otherwise this is a great recap of who Revan is: 1. Revan and Alek were kinda already falling to the Dark Side during the Crusade, and actually started their hunt for the Star Forge before the battle of Malachor. Vitiate did ultimately push them over the edge, but they (at least partially) snapped out of it and tried forming their own Sith Empire out of the Jedi and Republic troops still loyal to them. 2. When Bastila went to capture Revan, Malak saw this as an opportunity to kill 2 birds with one barrage of cannon fire so he tried to destroy Revan’s ship and kill them both. Revan was wounded and unconscious, so Bastila took him to the Council (don’t know if it was the High Council or the smaller one on Dantooine), who decided to wipe his memory and try retraining him. 3. During Revan’s 300 years of imprisonment, he used his connection with the Sith Emperor to weaken his influence and force him into seclusion. Not really sure how much of it was Revan and how much was the Emperor already doing that thing with Valkorian, but Revan was eventually rescued by the Republic, attempted Genocide against the Sith, formed a Cult, and briefly got the Republic and Sith Empire to work together against him.
