Zante - Ep 2 - The ULTIMATE GUIDE to Kalamaki Main Strip

In the 2nd episode, we take you on a walking tour of Kalamaki's main street.
We take you from our apartments, Zante Holidays Hotel and onto the main strip.
From here, we show you the bars, restaurants, shops and vehicle rental places. We also try to show you as many menu's as possible to give you an idea of what is on offer in the numerous restaurants on the main street.
We finish off by meeting an old friend, Claude at Melon Bar at the far end of the Kalamaki strip.

The last time we ventured in kalamaki we stumbled on the melon bars debut the guy just kept feeding us shots and then brought the bottle to the table what s guy 😇

Last time we went was 2018, drunk corner is now a different name, and there was a nice rental car place which is empty its changed a bit not alot deffo want to go back thanks for a great vlog 😀 👍

Yeah it was Drunk Corner back in 2018 last time we were there. I suppose a few businesses may have gone under because of covid. It was very much alive and kicking this year though which was nice to see. Thanks for watching, pleased you liked it

Sizzling Grill with Jimmy is an excellent restaurant and Pandesia is amazing especially on Greek Night with Aris and his team! Can't wait until we get back out there for our 6th visit! We haven't been since 2019 with COVID. Great video!!

It's probably the first time we've ever had any. We just couldn't pull ourselves together and all I wanted to do was a little bit at the end. Took over half an hour to get there 😅 It is a nice resort though. Episode 3 is also here but down by the beach.

Bless you. We stayed in Alykes in 2018 and loved it, not far from Alykanas, I believe you can walk between the 2 resorts. Lovely beach at Alykes too.

We will be in Kalamaki once again in 5 weeks we always stay at the Cronulla hotel lovely family run hotel 15 years going to Kalamaki the adventure park you strolled past is part of the caretta beach hotel and we have eaten at most of the restaurants but the one that stands out is the Pandesia lovely video keep them coming xx

Thank you Maddy. This is the 3rd time we have stayed in Kalamaki and we really love the resort, just the right level of activity. Not too quiet but not too busy. Can't say we had one bad meal the time we were there

Hoping to be there next week. Usually stay at cronulla but where trying vickys garden at the top of the main/old strip. Can’t wait to see Jim n Susan and all the rest. Trying a bit more of chilled out holiday this time. As it’s too easy to end up going to cronulla bar then drunk corner. Was a messy 2019 🤣🤣🤣 like you we’ve been going there since early 2000 and wouldn’t surprise me that we’d of been at cronulla same time. See a lot of the same faces may/September. It’s just a beautiful part of the world with the friendliest of people and excellent food no matter where you go. Fingers crossed our flights don’t get cancelled 🙈🤞🏻

You never know, things may improve. May can be unpredictable, we were there 2019 and it was freezing, windy and rainy. Last year was amazing though.

Heading east along main street til you get to the mini roundabout. Turn right towards the beach (crystal beach road) and follow around to the right... just rewatching your videos of Skiathos. My favourite Greek island so far (was there September/October 2020). Looking forward to your Ep 3 from Zante

This was very early May in 2022, so essentially the very start of the season. We've just come back again at the same time of year and I think pretty much everything was about open when we left just over a week ago so you'll be good 👍 We've got new videos from Zante coming out from today so keep an eye out for those, they'll be more up to date than these ones.

For the water, I think it was probably a couple of euro for a 6 pack of the water. Didn't actually buy much beer in the supermarkets this time round unbelievably, but sure it was about 1.50 euro for a large can of Mythos.

Yeah there are a lot of English people take their holidays here. There is actually quite a large population of the island who are now English with people moving out there to live which I found fascinating. Sure it was something like 20% of the islands population.

Absolutely loved Adam, couldn't really fault it at all. Lovely family that own it, spacious rooms, great location and only a year old so they were spanking new. If you watch the 10th episode we cover a bit more of it and give our thoughts on the accommodation.

I think I only had the one at the hotel on our first full day. Sure it was between 3-4 euro but can't quite remember the exact price. We were usually out and about.

Going in October first time in kalamaki. Melon bar was on my to do list. Do you know when the fun train starts and ends? Cost etc. The website doesn't work. Great videos.

Thank you Lee, and thanks for watching our videos. There is a little stall in Kalamaki handing out info about the fun train. We never actually used it but we did see it in Zante Town at Solomos Square. Not sure what times the trains are though. They run from.zante town to Laganas and vice versa. I think they have started running to Tsilivi too.

From the fun train you go straight to olive tree. Aren't there any other shops between them two? And many more in other parts of the street that are missing.. this is not sawing Kalamaki main road but sawing advertised businesses. Sorry..

I just want you to tell the truth and not promote your video as a walk on the main street. It is just a video (more videos in fact) which are just advertisements for businesses that you ve taken money from. Just be careful cause you might destroy people and shops that are way better and decent that the ones you advertise by not saying the truth. Thats all. No hard feelings
