@@m.d.3953 Hi, leider wird meine antwort gelöscht, wenn ich einen Link dazu poste. Du benötigst dafür die Software DxWnd. Dort müsstest du die zanzarah.exe auswählen und dann über diese software das Spiel starten. Das war der einfachste fix, den ich gefunden habe. Es gibt noch einige andere Fixes, bei denen du dateien hin und her kopieren musst, aber das war für mich der einfachste fix. lass mich gerne wissen, obs funktioniert hat oder wenn du weitere hilfe brauchst :)

Really cool! Is there a guide somewhere? I don't want to start speedrunning, but I'd like to understand the reasoning behind certain decisions. If not, my most burning questions are 1) how did you manage to get all the starters, 2) why taking the time to get the spheres when most of the captured fairies won't be used (I get that capturing them saves time compared to killing them, but then why not simply refusing to keep them at the end of the combat, which should be approximately as fast) and 3) what was that thing with the help menu during the final fight?

There is some information on the speedrun.com page (www.speedrun.com/zanzarah_the_hidden_portal/guides), but all route notes are outdated... Still some quick answers: 1) Taking a fairy "into the mouse cursor" actually removes it from the deck, so closing the menu at the same time makes that permanent. Now I have no fairy in the deck and can take another one. 2) The guy at 1:00:50 only fights you if have 30 fairies, this is the biggest blocker in the run and why we need all the spheres and gold 3) Overcharging a spell finally just hits yourself, this mechanic also exists for NPCs. By going into the help menu the NPCs keep charging and hit themselves eventually. This is slow but we are way underpowered for the last fight and there are many enemies at once, increasing the efficiency of the trick.

Danke 😊 Beim Bob-Split sind die beiden Schattenelfen vor Bob das eigentliche Problem: Man kommt mit sehr niedrigen Leveln an und soll gegen ein random deck an starken Feen antreten, hier hatte ich viel Glück mit der Feenauswahl der Gegner. Ich lade sogar lieber neu wenn an der Stelle z.B. 2x Fathrael oder Fygaery auftauchen.

@@helco3114 Ahh verstehe, danke für die Antwort! :) Eine andere Frage die mir noch einfiel: was genau bringt das Feen Fangen, wenn die Feen im run für gar nichts weiter benutzt werden? Wenns für fürs Trainieren wäre könntest du die ja auch einfach killen, also wieso fängt man die?
