I am Taiwanese. I took the subway in Singapore for the first time last month. There were people of all races in the carriage, including Indians. Everyone was quiet. Later, a group of Indian passengers came from the opposite side. They ignored the original carriage. Culture, began to make a loud noise and stretched its legs, forcing me to find another position. This is not discrimination, it is a natural reaction of the body.
The entire Chinese world is too kind and too tolerant. Look at the attitude of Malaysia and Indonesia next door to Singapore towards the Chinese. When the Chinese are a minority, they suppress and discriminate against the Chinese as a matter of course. When the Chinese are the majority, they think they are Chinese. They should be given preferential policies and must be tolerant, understanding and respectful. This is true in both China and Singapore. Are Chinese people less discriminated against by European and American whites, blacks, and Muslims in the world? No one can change the phenomenon of mutual discrimination. There is no need to deliberately pursue so-called equality. The more deliberately, the more discrimination will be amplified.
" 华人少的时候要讲融入,华人多的时候要讲包容 " What you said made sense and I felt sad. Truly, it's the Chinese that is always at fault. Why? I believe because Chinese are perceived to be very gentle and always seek to avoid conflict.
@@dollarquantums wat spirit? In 2021, in the newspapers, a NS man non Chinese, 23yo use Facebook harass, threaten, ask to meet outside , sexual attack ninenteen 12,13,14yo schoolgirls he was sentenced to 22year jail, is in newspapers
Accepting Malay and marrying a malay is different issue. Marry a Malay means one has to convert to Muslim compulsory which I cannot accept, I want my own religion.
My experience in US reflected a truth, the more you heightlighted issue like race, religion and class, the more people become sensitive about it, the more conflict raised. The truth is, discrimination is everywhere, the education level, the school, the look, the height, class, seniority, everything you can imagine will happened. It is in the gene of human being. When a society focus on differences instead of commonality, the society divides. Singapore should not follow the footsteps of US, Europe and Taiwan playing identity politic for votes.

This is why "protection" law is stupid. It's like reasoning is not needed just claim the person is racist/hate xx religion then can win n shut them down.
What you see is the minority, the majority of Chinese women actually hate, skin color plus dirty make people hate.@@Callsign-Blade_RunnerSG

Anywhere you go, any country, it's impossible to have ZERO discrimination; it's just a matter of seriousness. Compared to where I had lived aboard, SG is considered mild.
Zaobao, don't stir shit lah. When 2 people quarreling, anything also dare to say. Even husband and wife quarrel also say bad things to hurt each other. There will always be differences no matter what, from 50 years ago to 100 years in the future. Singaporeans are more mature and sensible that you think. There are a lot of inter-racial marriages here than what you think. Please don't be so suaku lah.

I think they are raising awareness about the majority tend to have blindspot about the minority races and there is nothing wrong with that.
There are no Chinese in the world at all.... I'm originally a Cantonese but having a Malay uncle from my father side.... Singaporean consist of Malay, Tamil, Han and other races. Can't find the names of Indian and Chinese .... The concept of racial domination is not important any more in Singapore and Malaysia.....
