If you have to wait for so long, it means that it's not life-threatening. If it's just fever, please go to the clinic. I went to A&E with a life-threatening condition last year and was admitted straight-away. I was sent to the waiting area to wait for a bed at the ward.
A&E has been greatly abused. If so urgent, go private 24-hour clinic. People should have the habit of having a list of 24-hour private clinic that treats different kinds of sickness.
Be understanding. …. They did very good jobs already. 25 yrs back I almost every few month need urgent go child hospital for blood disorders conditions , get attention with fast treatment make me respect them.
My mum went to A & E at school on March 2023. Waited for 5 hours see doctor. The doctor has to attend to the consultation, take blood, injection. There are no nurse on duty in the room. This is totally unacceptable. The attitude of the doctor also not good. Hope this will be a wake up call for singapore

@@user-um9re5vj8r fake your head. I was with my mum when it happened
Is not just A & E, even for normal eye appointment u have to wait for 4 months but if u have money, choose the senior consultant and the wait can be shorten to 2 weeks. I believe we are facing a shortage of doctor, nurses and bedspace, with the aging population, this problem is just going to get worse and worse.
A & E "Accidents and Emergency" People tend to panic over 30 mins wait 😅😮😊 Polyclinic time waiting is quite a common sight too. GP first sounds rational...😅😂 SG doesn't like to wait 🤣🫷
I waited in ED for 13hrs only to be told I wont be seen by a Dr because I'm not sick enough. Welcome to Australia.

Glad she's deported. Anyway, SG needs more hospitals and polyclinics. 🙏🙏

Not necessary, there are 24 hrs clinics in many areas. There are people who simply like to go to A&E, let them wait then.

I also have a bad experience, when I went to polyclinic at woodland, after seeing doctor at 3pm, doctor make me wait for almost 2 hrs to just collected my medicines. After waiting for one hr to collect my medicines, I went to ask the counter, how long more I need to wait, she call asked doctor. But still same, making me so mad waited for another almost one hrs again , walk out at this polyclinic almost 5pm, ridiculous 🥴😵this doctor has no responsibility.
the waiting time is too long. just because UK has long waiting time is not an excuse for long waiting time in sg. get more doctors and nurses in A n E wards. sg is over populated but the gomen has not increase enough capacity in hospitals. waiting time should be less than one hour.

Where got inform patients their illness criticality, just ask you to wait, then nothing happen until you find it strange that has to wait so long and began to ask what is going on. Doctor, nurse and patient management is bad overall.

several instances of going A&E, non-life threatening with infant got seen within 1 hour, with a young child took 3 hours or so. both were due to late hours. emergency with a young child was immediate upon triage. while at A&E happened to overhear this parent urgently telling the nurse that his son was having a fever, and the reply given was that almost EVERY child that came here had a fever. lol

A&E - Accident & Emergency. so the problem is yr illness is not something the clinic can handle. however, in the eyes of the staffs in A&E, unless u r dying, u will never b treated with priority. its not abt the staffs but the system. so, the question is how do they classify u as 'non critical' or until u r abt to die ??? but when dat happens u think u can held them responsible ??? actually no u cannot !!!! u r in pain and waiting for 5 hours, but in between, there r so many open wounds cases arrived. so u will always b push back push back n push back. therefore, unless u r very sure u r abt to die, there is no need to go A&E. go to yr nearest clinic n if the doctor there think u need immeidate treatment by the hospital, their referral letter will gets u ahead of those already waiting in A&E. btw, check the hospital if their is A&E or just 'E' for Emergency. non A does not treatment open wound case, incl fracture etc. if u r going for such treatment example a fractured due to a fall at home, go to hospital with A&E n not the 'Emergency', which after all the x-ray n bandages - u will b referred to the actual A&E - waste of time !!!
