This was a remake of the Commodores 1970s hit. The woman you hear is the amazing Shirley Murdock. She was discovered by Zapp and Roger and would sing on their albums. She also had a solo career in the 80s. Her biggest hit was "As We Lay"

All he does is say the words, & it would come out, as he was playing the keyboard (he can actually sing without it, tho) T-Pain uses the vocoder, which is a microphone connected to a keyboard. You literally have to sing in it to get the right pitch The woman is, who it's always been..the legendary Shirley Murdock!! She's part of the group
