They must have those songs sequenced together, so the band can hear it in their headphones, to que them to the song changes every 4 to 16 measures. Still takes a LOT of memory to transition that quickly. Unbelievable.

@garytitone8535 ай бұрын
Frank attended the Z record release party at The Viper Room with Warren Cuccurullo, while that took place before this show Frank was amazed by the bands new drummer Joe Travers. After Josh Freese, Terry Bozzio, Ansley Dunbar had opportunities Frank proclaimed that the band had found their drummer. As Frank knew the previous quite well for Frank to proclaim Joe Travers as the one that shows where Joe’s beginnings in Los Angela’s as a professional drummer were proclaimed by Frank, a man not easily impressed. To this day Joe Travers remains a top LA talent performing with many great bands. In addition to drumming he’s produced about 70 or more official Frank Zappa albums.

Scott Thunes on bass i believe. But I believe Frank was about to or had just passed they had to get out and do something to keep their minds off of it I know that just destroyed them it destroyed me. Knowing the greatest composer guitarist and songwriter of all time had left this Earth. I'm sure this was a good outlet for them at the time with what the four children were dealing with well especially Dweezil, Ahmet & Ms. MOON we're dealing with I mean Diva was still young at this time. But I don't know if Dweezil and Moon are even on speaking terms with omelette and Geneva. I'm guessing that Frank's catalog was uncircumcisedly thrown to the Warner Brothers sharks. And I believe that omelette and Geneva get a little bit more than Dweezil and Moon Unit. God I miss u Frank! The legacy is unbalanced

Lou (and Andy Warhol, his gay brother) hated Zappa (Andy indeed said that in his autobiography), that’s why. Frank probably was not a fan of the Velvets either (can’t remember if he said that explicitly)
whats interesting is that Reed inducteddd Zappa into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame few years later
@morrisalanisette90673 ай бұрын
there was a kind of feud between them in the really early days but i think its overblown. i think they were on the same label at the time in the 60s and played a few times together and just had a rivalry talking shit. like frank introduced them by making fun of them at a show they played together. frank did compliment white light / high heat though and was surprised he loved the album. i think frank even helped them with some song on that album, gave advice on how to get a particular sound since they were recording their albums together in the same place. Lou has a quote derogative of frank. but later inducted him in the hall of fame for some reason
