Love watching these purely for the style tips and random knowledge you just share. Anyone can learn anything just watching you. :) I have wider shoulders and always find raglan and dropped sleeve jackets and tops to be so much more flattering on my body. I also really loved your advice about trying different trouser styles too. Currently I've been liking a more slouchy and tapered trouser, which are easy to thrift since they have a lot of those type of pants at thrift stores. I think one thing I don't have is a white coat still... building a dream wardrobe takes many years. But it's still on my list of things I want along with a white blazer.

Yes, the Zara near me is very disappointing. It always looks a bit jumbled and untidy. I know I could go online, but I like to feel the fabric. I need to go to one of the good ones when I'm next in London. Great look around.

same here! And it's only certain Zara stores that have better quality products nicely laid out, others are usually chaotic. What I find with Zara and H&M is that sometimes the clothes "look' much nicer online than in real life. The fabric seems decent online but actually it feels quite tacky when i see it at the store.

Everytime I go into a Zara store I turn around and ho right back out again. Messy, cheep and unsustainable fast fashions. Blagh. Id rather find an incredible vintage coat made the old way in a second hand but grand store. I have amassed a quality wardrobe! Morover, everything that was in, will come back again, and it has. Everything that is classic will remain a staple forever.

I've been checking out zara in BNE city lately, really interesting. Like the knits and lace. Edit: a lot of it is Basic. We don't have many of the interesting things but they had a fab gold sequined long a-line skirt, for example. I bought some interesting little knits and blouses, some layering pieces and a bright emerald sateen skirt with an interesting assymetrical gather detail. So far probably due to weather I've not seen the fabulous coats that are on display in your High Street store. The basic knit with four gold buttons on cuff was in array of 8 colours for $45. I saw the most wonderful "vintage" Zara italian fabric, dirty gold wool pleated long skirt in a thrift store...$9! I should have just bought it to gift to someone. It was too long for me. I think skinny jeans are sooooo last decade and the k God...my large calves breathe a sigh of relief.

Agree! Don't be put off by things you can spend a little time and effort in to change - you can make something unique and suited particularly to you. Removing adding or changing buttons and belts, adjusting hems, adding darts, letting out seams... keep an open creative mind when shopping! I have my own sewing machine etc but for tricky tho vs or on expensive garments there are many expert tailors around that make quick professional and inexpensive adjustments. Having a sense of yiur own personal style helps you see the possibilities. I like to mix thrift and vintage with contemporary high and low clothing and I have a but of a weird mix in my body so there is always something I have to alter. It's very satisfying though, to make a tweak and be extremely comfortable with the outcome.

Trinny I love your energy and enthusiasm, and your look on fashion, and was inspired to look at Zara on line, and was pretty shocked at the state of the models, why in this day and age are we still being shown these young anorexic looking “children” and even look as if they’re being put in a size too big, to accentuate their slimness. Speaking as a slim size 12, I’ve always been on the skinny size, and hated how I couldn’t fill in clothes “normally” now in late 50s I finally have a little padding and find I fit clothes a little better, so how could anyone aspire to these stick models, is beyond belief, personally I don’t think Zara are doing themselves any favours with the average shopper, so I think they should be glad for your input!!
