Really loving your overview series, and really admiring your collection. By watching them, it’s giving me ideas what to purchase next, or realising that there’s some I never heard of before. Found a lot of real gems I never heard of before, and after watching them I was totally surprised. Love your recommendations.

My son who was about 10 at the time, was desperate to see IT (90s) because all his school friends had seen the TV movie. Trouble was he kept calling IT, I.T. Clown, which confused me because when I kept correcting him, he said, ‘no it’s called I.T. Clown, so then I doubted myself & thought maybe its a Goosebumps episode. So I showed him the IT dvd, & then he said, yes that’s the one, so I told him, it’s a killer clown, not a Desktop Support Engineer clown. 😳🙄

You have to get The Stand for your Stephen King section, I know it’s a 8 hr mini series but it’s a very good adaptation, M.O.O.N. That spells The Stand

Blair Witch Project is a good movie and made the genre more popular but for me the grandad of found footage horror films is definitely Cannibal Holocaust

Nice set. I remember buying the original DVD of "The Haunting" from my local "Big Lots". Really good movie, looked great in black and white, and really dug the ambiguous story. Also "Monster Squad" one I used to rent a lot from local video store as a kid, love seeing all the classic monsters in one movie. And even though I'm a fan of the HBO series, I loved the 1976 "Tales from the Crypt" movie, used to catch it a lot when it was on "Chiller", back when we used to have all the premium channels.

Not to be picky and please don’t take offence, it’s not a big deal in my eyes. You accidentally skipped a movie on your shelf at the 16 minute mark. ‘It Comes At Night’. I have seen the movie by the way. I hope that mistake wasn’t a big deal to you 😊

Ooops...yeah, I know exactly what happened - I originally pulled it off the shelf and showed it briefly after my rant about The VVitch, but did re-did some bits of that rant and trimmed it a bit after the fact then forgot to re-show It Comes at Night.

You skipped over It Comes at Night, the film right next to Witch, because you then went on a rant about people not liking the movie. Maybe you did talk about it briefly, but there was a cut after you put Witch away and then brought it back out to elaborate on what you meant, and maybe you did talk about it, but if so you cut it out entirely and went on to the Vincent Price films.

I think I’ve seen ghostbusters more times than any other movie in my life time, last year I was in a store browsing the blu Ray section and there was this guy and his friend browsing the 4K section they came across ghostbusters and one of them said I don’t get it why is this on 4K it wasn’t filmed in HD, I can’t tell how much I wanted to slap them but they left before I could correct them.

It saddens me to see how many people have that mindset too. "It's old so it can't be HD." It never occurs to them for a second that those "old" movie were shot on film, designed to be shown on theater screens 60 feet high. If the quality can stand up to that size of screen, it can sure as hell stand up to your dinky 55" of HDTV.
