Regarding the English-dub-only Gundam 0079 discs, my understanding is that back when Bandai first wanted to release it in North America, there was no DVD release for it in Japan. Since Sunrise/whoever didn't want Japanese fans "reverse importing"* the US DVDs instead of buying the eventual (and inevitably much more expensive) Japanese DVDs, they didn't let Bandai include the Japanese audio on the US release. * A common fear of Japanese disc distributors over the past few decades. It's also why a couple other anime were also released dub-only, some shows were only released on DVD when HD masters were available, why many US Blu-Rays don't allow watching Japanese audio with no subtitles or changing audio/subtitle tracks during playback, why Japanese companies gave US companies lower-quality and/or censored video masters on some titles, why many Japanese producers don't license uncensored hentai overseas like they used to, and why many anime Blu-Rays are "country-coded" to only work in the US and Canada.

Have you seen the anime 4k uhd Blurays being put out in the U.S. recently? The Space adventure Cobra movie is already out and Castle of Cagliostro and Ghost in The Shell are coming out soon.

Lupin the Third Part 2 Collection 1 also has the episodes in order with Episode 3 (To Be or Nazi Be) taking place after Episode 2. With the old Geneon releases, this episode was not on Volume 1 and you had to wait until like Volume 5 to see the lost episode (Episode 3)

Interesting collection, I have some of that stuff and most I don't. I was collecting the Voltron sets but found myself hating the dub and censors/cuts so I stopped after the 2nd set. I'm interested in checking out the Japanese version though.

I find it funny that I have a similar sized and I use the same method for sorting the collection (Genre sorted) but my collection is just Anime only pretty much and the shelves are the Anime sorted into genres haha. Robotic;Notes is also part of the Science Adventure Visual Novel line just like Steins;Gate. They share similar themes but different stories. Robotic;Notes is quite abit lighter than Steins;Gate but is a decent show. You should definitely get the Steins;Gate film, it's a sequel to the TV series (the good ending sequel) and is pretty much like an encore of the show for fans. It's brilliant stuff.

Ah, okay. I knew there was some kind of relation even if only thematically. I saw a fansub of the Steins;Gate movie a while back, I need to grab the Blu-ray. And there's a sequel series in the works too, apparently!

The Sequel Series is called Steins;Gate 0 and is the continuation of the Bad Ending storyline for the original series. It's currently airing right now actually.

Case closed had 5 seasons and 6 movies on dvd here. The first lupin crossover but not the second. (the one you have.) They made a bunch of single dvds also. The movies are out of print other then the lupin crossover.

Nice video Sean you have a nice anime collection including Studio Ghibli selection and Korean knock off Anime selection I have 373 Anime DVDs 15 Anime VHS tapes and 6 Anime on Blu-ray and I have bought Raiders of Galaxy Korean rip off anime on DVD that I bought at a book sale at the library for one dollar because I Collect Anime as an anime collector I give you the credit

I've watched the first one, and thought it was a lot of fun. I'd like to see the rest, but I absolutely refuse to watch the butchered Season Sets they put out.

Understandable, glad you've seen level 1.1 as those are some classic episodes. I would recommend Dragon Ball Z Kai if you'd like to see the series in a non-DNRed-to-hell format soon. Really great pacing and a fantastic English dub

I see you have the unfortunately cancelled Level Blu-rays of DBZ, those looked so promising but sadly didn't meet sales expectations so FUNimation pulled the plug on them before they were about to release the next two volumes of the collection. I remember when i first saw the preview for those back in about December of 2011 and though "Wow, that looks really amazing, i just might have to get those." but in the end i never did get them then they got scrapped and eventually over time started gradually collecting the Dragon Boxes which were already well out of print at that point. Needless to say it has been a slow endeavor but i am getting closer to having all of them, since all that now remains is volumes 4 and 7. They are no doubt the best release here as far as DVD goes and so much so that i have been getting rid of those "Orange Brick" seasons as i absolutely despised the widescreen nonsense and overzealous DVNR. I have a standard of quality as far as this series goes so the DBoxes are my preferred releases by far.

Yes, as are Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory. But I keep them with all my other Transformers shows. So they'll be covered when I get to the Transformers section. I covered Voltron here because it's nothing but anime, both the English and original versions. Transformers is part anime, part U.S. stuff depending which one you're watching. So being a mix I just have them all in an all-encompassing Transformers section.

Honestly you should buy the dragonboxes of dragonball z that they released on dvd because Funimation doesn’t give a shit about dbz but cares about everything else dragonball and also there will never be a definitive edition of the complete series

Single releases are great if want 300 DVDs, Orange bricks kind of sucks, dragon boxes are great because there the closest to the original version of dbz but there out of print, dbz Kai is great if you want a condensed and remade version of the series and you know the rest

Way too expensive by this point. I know about all the various different releases. Guess I'll just never get to see it all, oh well. Maybe one day FuniMation will surprise us and do a proper release at long last. Can't believe they've messed it up so many times, especially when most of their other releases are pretty consistently excellent.
