He’s slow, gets cooked on defense guarding In space, and clogs the paint. He’s below JA, JJ, Bane on pecking order so like yeah you can post him up but that takes 6 seconds of shot clock and clogs the paint for your better options. And without his post up game he’s not a very good player as that’s his go to skill, so they might as well bring him off the bench and give him actual touches because he’s slow in the starting lineup. He’s a really bad rebounder at the pro level also for how tall he is he’s below average, to slow footed.

Edey may not have the same skills as wemby does but Edey is truly good he still has alot of time to grow he is 22 years old so if zach edey can be more consistent in his game he will be a great player for a long time

Edey has better hands, better passer than most understand..... he will go the floor for a loose ball ..... he is stronger than you think.. I mean.. you gotta guess he is strong to be 2 time player of the year and now 9th in the draft... but this kid strong and has the finesse with the baby hooks and free throws ---

I'ma big Wemby fan, but Edey outplayed him today. Edey is dominant inside unlike Wemby 6 points today. Been on a slump from the last 4 games including pre season. So dissapointed to see a 7'4 dude always asking for the ball outside while shooting terribly from the outside, his obsession with KD hurts wembys game. Just a 7'4 dude who can shoot sometimes, block shots and handles the ball. No post moves, no strong inside presence, gets dominated and pushed around by stronger centers like Adams, Drummond, Nurkic, Edey is much better I hope I'm wrong. It doesn't show in the stats though because Edey rarely plays minutes

Word. Wemby had been very disappointing since the beginning of the season. He should play inside and not waste his hight on the outside, when he can't even hit a 3 for the life of him.

I don't know what the hell is going on with the coach of this team but I'm telling everybody right now that Edey is by far the best player that will come out of this draft and he could easily average 20/12 this season if given the minutes. He's only playing 16 minutes per game?? What the hell?

zach edey doesn't need to be an offensive powerhouse. he just needs to fill steven adams screens and rebounds lmao

He’s a poor rebounder at the pro level, extreme slow footed and no anticipation. He relies on his height in college and now he faces real athletics that go get boards.

His rebound numbers are bad because most of the time he's holding multiple people back from getting rebounds while his teammates grab the boards. His impact is making the team better at rebounding. Just look how much better Santi rebounding numbers have improved vs previous years. Casuals only see stats.
