Zava did not eat Rebecca's cookies. He was just pointing out that her desk was covered in biscuit crumbs (because she eats so many of them at her desk). Just thought I'd clear that up.

I've been watching a bunch of people react to Ted Lasso, but I've got to say, you're definitely one of my favorites. It's lovely to see someone notice the little details as well as remembering details from passed episodes.

From Friends, Chandler's job involved statistical analysis, there was an acromnym where he referred to the WENUS, weekly estimated net usage statistics. An employee was backdating some information and it threw his WENUS all out of whack

I’ve seen interviews where this episode Jason kept cracking the whole cast up during the Zava locker room scene. Apparently he kept goofing off and making the whole crew laugh

If she was a good psychic she would have known Rebecca would ask for that drink and would have had the ingredients ready.

Zava is a device to get Richmond up the league. He’s full of mixed metaphors and gibberish but he can score goals. I’m skeptical about Tish but Rebbeca hears it and it does move it forward for her. FYI I love Victor/ Victoria

There's so much from this episode that leaves you questioning everything. I'm not one to give away spoilers, but in terms of Rebecca having Sam's baby, where we are in the timeline, she would know by now. There was a time jump at the end of season 2 and the start of season 3 was 6 weeks after that, and then with how many games we see them play in this episode alone, she would not only know, but she would be showing by now. However, you were not the only one who thought the same. The whole Dr. Jacob thing pisses me off to no end. I had no problem with them giving Michelle a boyfriend, but there is no reason it needed to be her previous marriage counselor. It's wrong on so mnay levels. This show has a weird thing about ethical relationships though. That's all I'll say for now.

When Zlatan Ibrahimavic moved to LA Galaxy he took out a double page advert in the newspaper with a picture of himself and the words “LA, you’re welcome”. Then during his first match he noticed that the opposition’s keeper was a fair way out before kick off, so scored a goal from the halfway line. As much as I hated his stupid arrogance when he played, I kinda wish they’d used a few more quotes by Zlatan for the Zava role because looking back it was quite funny.

Listening to “everybody knows“ as you have it edited for copyright reasons, I noticed taking out the music underneath Leonard Cohen and making them a little more echoey sounds really good.

Dr Jacob was Michelle’s therapist before becoming their couples therapist, which makes it even more unethical

Yeah, this is a massive, massive betrayal that both the reactors I watch and the show itself seems to just gloss over. Gotta say, it also puts Ted's ex in a pretty bad light. This is where I stopped thinking the breakup was nobody's fault.

@@adamwells9352To be fair to Michelle, it feels like the Therapist manipulated her. That still speaks badly of her for not being able to see through it, but it also makes her a victim.

@@Wiley_Coyote Well, and, gritting my teeth, you have a point there. I just feel like it's not super sophisticated emotional intelligence to recognize that a therapist aiming to get you into a bed is a predator. ...But yes, you're right.

@@adamwells9352when does the show even imply that was his goal? Not saying it's right. But we only get one side of the story... And it was like 2 years later... Was Jake really that involved to play the game that long???

@@dabreal82 I think you'd be hard-pressed to give me _any_ scenario where it's okay for a couples therapist to end up with a person in a couple he counselled. The way you know a therapist can be trusted is that it doesn't happen. Period. Everything else is excuses for predators.

Each episode Anna does seem to “clairvoyantly anticipate”. each coming turn and twist for everyone in Richmond. Even with her unique insights though, I’m thinking the next 2 episodes will be a little hard to see. What I’m really waiting for is ep !!!

A few things: 1. Victor/Victoria is frickin’ amazing! I saw it in the theater in its first run when I was a teen and laughed myself silly. I think that “Crazy World” is Mancini’s best song ever. 2. Loved how they started the theme song only to cut it off when Colin hit the trash bins, and then restart it when he got going again! 3. Speaking of Colin, this might be just me, but hear me out. When I first heard Nate do his epic roasting of the team in season 1, his asking Colin “Do you wax your pubes?” struck me as oddly personal and weirdly sexual. Then, when he got his promotion and they awarded him with the sad whistle (because it had never been blown), he immediately responded with, “Is that why Colin’s sad?” Again, weirdly sexual. Then, when he went after Colin in season 2, only then was it just mean on a professional level without being sexual. Seeing this episode where Colin is outed to the audience, that clarified my thoughts. I think that Nate might have suspected that Colin was gay, even if only subconsciously. When he was still of a lower status than Colin or only newly elevated, he went after Colin like a teenage boy would go after an unliked classmate he views as vulnerable, in that weirdly sexual way. (I don’t know how many times I heard taunts like that at my middle school bandied about by guys in my class.) When Nate was more confident in his newly elevated status, that’s when he went after Colin as a player, personally cutting but not sexual. No reactor has made any similar observations, so maybe it’s just me.

Zava says a lot of seemingly deep and inspirational stuff that makes no sense whatsoever. The psychic subplot is silly but somehow relevant for Rebecca's journey. The restaurant scene was wonderful in sorting out a few things, especially the emerging friendship between Roy and Jamie. Ted summed up the Beard-Jane relationship perfectly: "Y'all's baggage matches right up!" Tarot is really interesting to me because certain symbols do resonate with a person on an individual level - Jung's 'Man & his Symbols' - so I think tarot can help a person gain a deeper understanding of their own character and motivations. But as for psychic power or divination, I'm definitely a skeptic. And I was sipping cranberry juice, personally.

A lot of folk don't like Shandy (intentionally), but in the least season when Keely told Rebecca about the new company - Rebecca told her to hire her best friend and Keely acknowledged her own growth under Rebecca so that's a full circle. Lots of other things happen too this season that are full circles and get dismissed, will go through them as we get there though you are a lot more in tune with this show than some of thother reactors

Hah, I saw that flip out where you thought Rebecca was pregnant for a second xD I'm pretty sure I had the same thought initially. Yeah I like tarot as a means for giving my thoughts a jumping off point about things I need to think about, not a read on anything to come. Zava is an interesting look at 'man so arrogant he views everyone as worshippers so why be mean to your followers' Why use force when ppl will just do anything for you? And he didn't respond negatively any time Rebecca was short w him/yelled at him. Dude just lives in his own world.

Not a huge fan of these few episodes. They have a point... good story reasons for these plots and subplots existing which pay off big later... but its a slog getting through them. It turns around in Ep 6 bigtime (although Ep 5 has grown on me in rewatches).
