It looked to me like his foot got caught on his blockers thigh when the defender landed on his knee

my inside guy (equipment manager) said the injury happened when he tried to stop... it compressed the knee causing a contusion.. bone bruise like you said... they were already in the playoffs and winning so they sat him unless they needed him... no tear or break and he will be back next game

When he falls, his legs pops back up, his ankle catches the side of vorhees’ lower right outside thigh & then the defenders body weight lands on his leg which bends it sideways

So, no that's not what happened.... it's his right leg watch closely and you can see it's up in the air as he's rolling over and it gets caught between his teammate and the opponent both of them going in different directions. It forces his leg to bend sideways

Injury happens at 0:35-0:36 When he hits the ground, his leg pops up. When this happens, his foot/ankle catches onto his teammates right thigh & simultaneously the defender lands on his leg, which pushes it the opposite direction. It basically hyperextended his knee sideways.
