the problem with the spines is that there are multiple Terios designs and we dont know if the Sonic spines terios was the final design before Shadow..there can be a point where the "knuckles/amy" spine Terios was the final design before they made Shadow

"The" Terios design definitely wasn't the last one that was made before we got out Shadow. In the video, I mentioned how there were designs that get closer and closer to what we have now. I'm sure there there's other concept designs for Shadow that we haven't seen, but if there really was one with the skin's spines, wouldn't Sega have shown off art of that by now? I don't think they would make the skin almost 1 to 1 with one concept and then randomly add in something from a potential other design we haven't seen.

I don't get the point you are trying to make with the whole terios doesn't look like Sonic thing that's why his design was improved with shadow it's a scrapped character design plus terios isn't even canon 😭

@@noww446 It's not that the original Terios design doesn't look like Sonic. It's that the skin in SXSG isn't accurate to the original design which looked more like Sonic. The original intent is gone, if that makes sense.

I would largely agree with your criticism if Terios was the actual model they used, and not Shadow. Terios is just a fun little feature that isn't anything serious, so I don't mind them changing him up, since he's not an official character, he's just a version of Shadow they didn't use. SEGA clearly knew this, and that's why Shadow exists. Terios isn't a real character, so the argument of "his spines are a problem because it makes him look less like Sonic's doppelganger" is null because they didn't even use him in the first place. I understand why any official character's design being changed could prove to be a problem, especially when proportions are changed and look uncanny compared to previous versions of said existing character, but Terios simply... doesn't exists in the canon.

Yeah. I think I said at the end of the video that it wasn't a big deal, cuz it really isn't. I think the skin itself is pretty neat, even with the things I said in the video. It doesn't detract from the game itself, and I love when Sega references unused concept designs like with Feels The Rabbit in Superstars. Although, just because Terios never actually existed in the canon doesn't mean that they shouldn't have kept the original intent when bringing the design back for this. I think Terios looking more like Sonic than Shadow was the reason why a lot of fans liked the design. If I wasn't feeling like I was on a time limit while making my video, it probably would've been more informal than just ranting for a few minutes. ✌🏽

4:40 funny how you say that, because freaky sonic is a variant of sonic.exe that genuinely believes that he IS the real sonic, and if you dont play along with his delusion, he will start getting violent
