In Zayn's past WR Averages, he usually drops the average down by 0.01 or 0.02 seconds, so to see this big of a drop(0.97 if it wasn't for the +2) it honestly surprises me how far Zayn's solves have become.

2:02 It's not only about your skills with the cube, but also about how much pressure you can handle. I think stuff like that is what separate great cubers from the legendary ones. This just shows how AMAZING the last solve of Tymon's 3x3 sub-5 average was. To find yourself in that situation, under so much pressure, and be able to deliver. I believe that's got to be one of the best solve in cubing history. (I'm not diminishing Zayn's achievement here, it's still an outstanding average and hopefully he'll get it soon).

Yeah I was in the 2x2 finals where this happened. It was so stressful and when everyone saw the time and not the cube we flipped out. Only to realize the tragedy that struck.

Personally, I don't consider this as a tragic fail... just because is Zayn Khanani. He will eventually get a sub-1 and probably a sub-0.9 (I don't even know if it writes like that)

imagine if +2s were just DNFs. i’m quite glad we just get +2 instead of DNF but i think it should be a different time for other events. +2 was meant for 3x3, but is impractical for other events, especially 2x2 and 7x7.
