My heart breaks for him, he looked so ill in late 2014/early 2015 before he left. You can see how ill he looked in the band aid interview, Harry looked exhausted and, although you can’t see Louis and Niall in this video, in the actual video they both looked angry as if they had all had an argument. For Z to compliment H’s music when his own was discounted just shows what a lovely person he is and he absolutely did the right thing in leaving for his own health.

Such an underrated issue that casual fans don’t understand with zayn. ZAYN Didn’t even get ONE solo written song put through for any of the albums. While every other member has gotten there own written work in. The boys have also said that they were writing MITAM at the end of 2014 while zayn was around so obviously when it came to picking songs 3 months in, none of his songs got chosen and he realized that none of his writings fit the new theme of the album and he likely didn’t fit the direction that album was going in. No wonder why he left, such disrespect.

It hurts how Zayn was suppressed in 1D , he had suffered so much.. n after leaving he had to face so much of hatred.. But he didn't utter any bad bout the 1D, management nor boys in any interviews.. I'm glad he took his way.. But the fact still makes me sad is y no other boys helped Zayn whilst he was in the band?! Y didn't they add his songs.. I still wanna hear Zayn written songs..

But this is true that their management was a piece of shit who ruined everything ‼️If they would be good with zayn we would still get their new songs.

I don't think it was any of the other boys' fault. I even heard from one of their interviews (if I'm not mistaken it was Liam who was being interviewed) that they really tried to make some songs work for him. Giving him parts where he can showcase his own style. But I think in the end, it's still the management/producers who gets to say what's going to be in the album. Most likely they didn't think his songs fit the theme of the album. Which is very sad since Zayn's songs are amazing and I'm sure he really put his heart and soul to that songs. It's just that the band's songs were mostly leaning towards pop/rock and some a bit ballad but Zayn's style is RnB.

it was never the boys’ fault... remember they had little to no right to input anything themselves... so as much as they probably tried they probably couldn’t get his songs on FOUR :(( as for the ED, harry knew and he always tried to help Z as much as possible

When I saw this video I cried because Zayn was always one of my favorite One Direction members and i never knew what he was going through. I listened to a demo of "One Chance to Dance" that I found and it seems like it has SO much emotion. You can really feel Zayn's heart in the song, and I can't believe that it was never released. I would be depressed too if I found out that a song that I poured my heart out into never made it.

A.D. - Dawn here, so much thanks for this amazing video. Zayn was discriminated against in 1D. Let’s just get that out in the open. I don’t think we will ever know to what extent. He led me to the fandom and along the way, I fell in equal love with Harold. Their whole demeanor in the band was just different from the others. It just was. Their LOYALTY to each is the thing no one else banked on. Was anyone really surprised that Harry pushed for the disband? The funny part is, if Larry was so real, why did Harry want to get the hell out of there? This video has me triggered and pisses me off for Zayn. He deserved better.

Its really so sad that Z was unable to express his emotions and feelings verbally and even through his lyrics. If we listen to his songs, they have way more deeper meaning than we think.After leaving the band he might have felt liberty to express himself but it was also suppressed due to the hate he got by the "so called fans". We never realized that how much he had to suffer from his ED and later from the Hate he got for protecting himself and his health and his anxiety would have made it worse for himself!! It breaks my heart to think about all this now and how we overlooked his health.

I personally feel that till 2013 everything was fine until mid 2014 zayn started to get more uncomfortable in the band and harry supported zayn in that period of time and imagine if they both solve any beef between them (beef in the sense a little conversation issues or bcoz of something they might not be in contact) imagine them both being best friends back like I would die for this to happen

Great video ( as always 😊 )I really had not appreciated that Zayn's songs had been rejected it.... makes his disenchantment and artistic frustration so clear now especially when you look at his solo music. I'm late to Zarry but your work has made me catch up fast! I have listened to Z&H's solo stuff a lot -the call and response by both of them. They are both so talented I think Icarus falls is a masterpeice. I think if zayn had as much creative input as the other boys his entire experience in the band would have been different. And it sucks because they held back all his potential for what?
