Don’t let zayn’s anxiety fool you, him and the boys said numerous times that him and louis were the truble makers, zayn maybe the mom but it’s just cuz he was protective of the boys and everyone around him, he’s just a genuinely nice guy that cares, but he does like to have fun, also in recent interviews he said that the management actually forced him to keep quiet in most interviews so that he’d fit that “mysterious” role they were going for

I was just rewatching your second Louis video when I got the notification, loved it! It’s funny because Liam was actually named ‘Daddy Direction’ by the band & the fans because he was the most responsible, but as Louis said, they corrupted him a bit. When you said that everyone seems to pay attention to Harry, it made me laugh because although that is pretty true, there are a few times in an interview where Harry is ignored a bit & he keeps trying to say something but the boys & interviewer are really engaged. I love the boys dynamics & you analyzed them pretty well.

Louis was the always a person you can freely talk to. He is the most fun. He was the one who usually made zayn more comfortable. Louis with liam he is just chaotic , with niall & harry is a caring brother. I personally look up to Louis & Zayn when it comes to One Direction.

Yes i have seen Zayn trying to divert the unnecessary sexual questions like ' u guys watch porn? Z diverts it by talking abt 1D book, Fanfic questions? Great reaction! Louis’ personality attracts me the most as well. I’m just always watching him to see what he’s up to next, lol. He’s always doing something to make interviews less boring and repetitive. Remember that at that time of their lives they were so busy, always doing interviews and working, so some questions and stuff gets so repetitive. You always need someone like Louis to lift the mood and make it memorable in a way, if that makes sense. And the boys, even Zayn, always crack a smile whenever he says something so I guess it works hahaha! Yes! I love how comfortable they are with each other. It’s just so fun and chill.

Okay so when the group was initially formed, Liam used to be the mature serious one,so he was called the dad of the group. Louis has always been the goof ball. Liam and Louis never got along because of this contrast personalities. But eventually louis and liam got in terms and Louis corrupted him. If you watch the interviews from around 2010-2011 you will be surprised because Zayn used to be a lot more fun and talkative. Over the years he became quieter. The reason why louis was trying to get Zayn into the goofyness was because Zayn actually has a fun side and Louis brings it out. Zayn and Louis is the duo who causes all the trouble behind the scenes. Liam became more of a carefree fun guy by 2013 and joined louis and Zayn in their adventures. By 2015 Liam became the most carefree fun guy out of the 5. Harry and Niall is the other duo. They are not troublemakers like the rest but are just super weird and funny. Niall was a literal 5-yr old. Everyone had a protectiveness about him.

Yeah, it’s mostly Harry and Liam answering the questions and Louis changing the subject by being Louis hahaha. I actually love it whenever Louis answers questions, it’s very insightful and he’s got a way with words, he’s very smart and knowledgeable. But the thing is, most of these questions they’ve already answered before, in other interviews, so Louis doesn’t bother with them anymore. He lets the other boys take the lead on answering those while he attracts the attention by being himself and lifting the mood. It’s not exactly fun for us if they’re just answering questions we’ve already heard the answer to before, lol, so it’s always entertaining whenever Louis is doing something chaotic or making the boys smile/try to hold in their laughter some way or the other. It’s just Louis! He’s charismatic in his own way. The type of person who’d do absolutely anything to make you/the boys smile even if it means making a fool of himself.

i feel like niall dint feel the need to speak unless asked or had something he really wanted to say. he's always been a quiet guy and just enjoying what's going on and really like living in the moment and just being very carefree. he's always been comfortable and confident but when he's solo now he's had to really show that side of his whereas he dint feel the need to earlier cause there were 4 other guys to lean on and he could chill.

Can’t remember if it was in an interview or somewhere I read, when niall is quiet in an interview, he is just tired and let’s the other speak. In an interview, he said that after the hiatus, at first, he was literally waiting for the boys, (cause he was so used to it) then finally realizing that he is by himself. Now he has to do everything by himself (the promotions and interviews)

Fun fact (not really fun) - They were heavily branded by their management. So they were not exactly themselves, they were mainly playing a role given by their management. They even talked about this issue after the hiatus, specially Liam and Zayn talked about it in their interviews

EXACTLY! That´s something that must definitely be considered here. Louis fit his class clown brand pretty well at the beginning, but he became more calm with every era. Niall has always been more than just Irish, food and golf... Let´s not even start on Harry´s womanizer brand. And Liam, if I remember correctly, said that he didn´t really like to be the responsible, mature one. I´m even convinced that Louis and him have more in common personality-wise than most fans think. For example they didn´t get along initially because they are both natural leaders.

Him and Liam has always been the leaders, but more so behind the scenes. When the camera is on, the focus is most often than not on Harry, which is why it appeared to Max that he’s the leader. Maybe in front of people, he’s the most charismatic, but leadership is more than just who gets the most attention.

Thank you so much for the reaction! I’d love more like this one, with all five of them. They’ve done interviews for 5 years, lots of content to see and changes over the years. Another suggestion would be more Louis interviews, just because I love Louis’ personality and he’s my fav sooooo. And it’d be better and more interesting I guess if in whichever interview you choose there’s an interviewer (+crowd would be even better) present, not just him talking to a camera cause Louis is a people’s person and loves interacting with others. Not just talking to a camera. Again, thank you for the great content!!!

Actually they all kinda agreed that Louis is the leader.I mean on camera he's fun and goofing around,but they said Liam and Louis together, specially Louis used to take all the important decisions for the group and had to deal with the management the most.

Yeah that was in X factor they agreed that Louis is the leader. It waa a joke. But in reality it was Harry. They went on hiatus because Harry wanted to. They still can't have a reunion because Harry isn't up for it. And no Louis didn't have to deal with the management in any bad way. That was simply a myth among shippers. He had the creative freedom inside the band and he was specially close with Simon Cowell. It was Zayn who was the target of every nasty thing. Management put him through hell and many people misunderstood it Louis.

@@user-pz1xd4nu8r Are you sure we’re talking about the same band here? Literally none of what you said is true! Louis was very outspoken and fought with their management for them and their independence more than once, the boys themselves literally said that. Zayn wasn’t treated right but so were the other boys! They dealt with it differently and had their own struggles but that doesn’t mean they had freedom and were able to do whatever they wanted to do. No one had a good relationship with Simon lol, maybe early on because they were fooled and thought he’s a good person, but they all literally hate him now. If anything, Louis is the one who most often than not sassed Simon and made fun of him. Zayn didn’t hide his dislike, and even Liam. But Harry and Niall were people pleasers who did everything they’re told to do, which is why it didn’t look like they hated him that much but they all literally despised him.

I feel like Louis and Liam took the brunt of the negatively from management. Harry was promoted as the lead, he was placed in the centre of interviews, promo videos and posters etc. He’s smart so he took the cue when management pushed him to the forefront. I think sometimes in the music industry you have to promote yourself above others in order to succeed. It’s a dog eat dog world, you can’t be kind and amenable to everyone, especially in this boy band situation because they always get compared whether they like it or not. That’s why my favourite’s Liam though. Despite what he recently revealed, he always the one with the courage to mention his band mates in a positive light, regardless of what people might say.

if you watch more videos you'll see that louis was actually always the leader and they always would look at him to set the tone of the interviews, even the boys have said that about him (being the leader) in the past, partly because he was the oldest and partly because he was protective of them, outspoken and took initiative (to change their sound and stand up for the others against label execs behind the scenes). you're right about louis being the one who lightens it up and makes them comfortable to be more open, like how he was making sure zayn felt included at the end there. love that he's your favourite :) also, at 7:28 louis whispers to liam and niall to put more mics in harry's face as a joke which is why zayn was smiling, because he thought the mic thing was funny, not because he has "an admiration or respect for harry" hahaha

When you watch more 1d videos you'll see that Louis is like the leader of the band. They don't really have a leader but it's just that Louis was the one who kind of kept 1d together. He's close to all of them and he's also the Joker of the band. He makes everyone laugh. And in 'This is us' Niall said that if it wasn't for Louis, they would be the most boring band ever.

if you watch some other interviews or just random videos of them you'll see that the actual leader was louis even though he wasn't serious like liam or the one that speaks the most like harry, the other boys were always describing louis as the one vital member of the band, the one who took most care of the business stuff, the one they'd reach out if they're not in a good mood. But it's ok if you don't know that cause obviously a big part of the fandom isn't aware of these things, i suggest you to watch more videos about louis!! i'm not a big stan of the other boys (as solo artists) but i still like some of them and think this reaction was great and accurate ♡♡

In my opinion the leader was a mix between Louis and Liam. They both took care of the things behind the scenes and (just to add on from what you said about Louis) Liam made sure that everyone stayed on task and were prepared, etc

I only joined the fandom in Feb 2020, but after binging on all their one direction and solo career content, Liam became my favourite. The down to earth matter of fact honesty he projects is one of the things I love about him the most. In the early days he was so serious, but that’s because he had to mature pretty quickly, since he was first on the xfactor at 14.

That's why these guys are my favorite, they are just genuine humble guys who have a really strong connection with eachother. On the early days liam and louis didn't had this connection. They have said in many interviews that they kinda hated eachother but eventually they became the closest. Zayn and louis was soo crazy and liam was the responsible one. Niall and harry was the babies. Everyone has a great connection with louis. Without him 1d would be kinda boring. If you watch their video diaries you'll understand. And that's why louis is my favorite one of the group. Happy to hear that he is your favorite too. I hope you'll do more 1d.

Its just the thing bout Zayn is that he was very interactive in the early interviews and ofc it can be seen that he loves the boys and doesnt have a problem with the group or the dynamics. We all know why he is not interactive in the 2014 interviews for FOUR cus ofc he started getting all depressed and cut off from everyone so i dont blame him for not talking much in these interviews. I mean he can't just force out happiness and engagement you know if he's not feeling it at that moment. Nonetheless, Zayn is a really cool guy, its just his anxiety gets to him better which affects his performances other than that he's an anazing person who, I'm sure, everybody would love to get along with.

it’s funny that you say they all look up to harry especially in 2014 because that’s when louis and harry drifted apart and zayn also distanced himself from harry. that’s also around the time harry first suggested they break up and both louis and niall were against the idea so i think there was definitely some tension between some of the guys and harry by then

I feel like their dynamic changes drastically in almost every interview. Like Max said Harry seems to demand attention and everyone will stop and listen when he decides to speak, but there were countless times that he was unintentionally spoken over because he speaks low and slow. Also, most of the time Louis is the leader. Also, Niall comes off as shy, which he is absolutely not, he might be the most outgoing of all (its either him or Harry).

The thing with Harry is that he was usually the most considerate one, and as such oftentimes he was the only one actually listening to the interviewer and answering the questions properly. The other boys usually distracted playing with each other or weren't very interested, so when Harry spoke he was the one in the group that was actually doing the work. The other boys would sometimes continue to talk over him, and sometimes let him speak so the question would be answered

Well yeah but these questions were so repetitive, Harry used to answer just for the sake of someone answering. Especially when the question is about love life, the boys were asked about that every single time so they were probably so done with it (I know I was). Harry is a people pleaser, he does what he’s told to do even if he doesn’t like it, but the others aren’t afraid to rebel a bit and call interviewers out on asking personal questions not related to the promo they’re doing.

@@sophiagreenhills3239 I know, love! I'm not blasting them. They're lovely boys. But that year specially they were so overworked, and they had so many interviews it's unbelievable. It must be quite annoying to do so many and they all have the same questions. It was even that year the infamous leopard print dress interview happened. The boys were more often than not super tired, so sometimes they would just not be in the mood for stupid questions

at the time, it did get hard for liam he formed an addiction he was drunk 90% of the time, he caved into himself and his thoughts were really dark, he opened up about this 2018 and he’s sober now, he’s trying, and he is more himself
