Zayn’s song and Taylor was a feature. There’s always been misunderstanding between who got the song first and who wrote it. zayn was given the song and apparently he was the first choice and offered first and rest followed and tbh zayn made this song what it is , Taylor is also good but this song zayn made it magical .

Zayn wasn’t “given” the song. He wrote it and played it for the movie producer and book author and they loved it. He played it for Taylor and she said “I’d like to be on it”. He’s been in multiple interviews saying he wrote it. Do you honestly think her team would allow that if she had written it?? She was a feature on the song and nothing more. He even recorded, produced and edited his acoustic version!whichbi is even more beautiful than the one with Taylor feature. She has no demo for it. He has the original demo because he wrote it!

Most pop music has about 5 demos of different artists before one wants it and it becomes their song even if they have zero writing credits.
