Assalam Alaikum Sheikh, I listen to your lectures all the time. I studied Linguistics in Graduate school and so, I understand and appreciate a little bit the power of language to change thought, to persuade, to educate, to delight, to dispense ideas, to explain, to convince, to analyze and synthesize, encode and decode thought and ideas. You are blessed with the “husnul quluq” ( hope I’m using it correctly. Correct me if I’m not.) You know your subject, you know your purpose, and you have a fine appreciation of your audience and how to connect with it. This is why your lectures are so inspiring to me. I appreciate the wealth of research that goes into preparing your lectures and the ways in which you use the facts from your research to develop, elucidate, and present your ideas. May Allah (SWT) reward you bountifully.
@shukriyusof21043 жыл бұрын
Please be aware of the "2 sides of the coin!" The other side of a "well-researched" lecture is to manipulate the facts to fit your narrative. However extensive your research appear to be... but, the simple truth is only to be found in the verses of the Quran. salam.
@eggstravagent38013 жыл бұрын
@@shukriyusof2104 so what do you think about this lecture in particular ?
@shukriyusof21043 жыл бұрын
@@eggstravagent3801 Not that much... to be honest! At around the 10min.39sec. he quoted a Sahih Muslim hadiths about, allegedly said by the Prophet... "every prophet before me was sent especially to his people, but I was sent to all of humanity." This cannot possibly be true if we follow just these 2 Quranic verses (there are numerous other verses but it will take too long to explain) 2:285 The Messenger believes in what was revealed to him by his Lord, as do the believers; they all believe in God, His angels, His Books and His Messengers. We do not distinguish between any of His Messengers. They said, "We have heard and obeyed. Our Lord, [we seek] Your forgiveness. To You is [our] destiny." Now use your "aqal" and think/ponder/reflect who said "We do not distinguish between any of His Messengers?" Obviously, even the prophet himself, and so too his "sahabah/companions" or followers, said that "we do not distinguish between any of His Messengers." Hence that Sahih Muslim hadiths is not that "sahih" after all. Here is another short Quranic verse: 73:15 We have sent to you a messenger, a witness over you just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger. So, who is the "YOU" supposed to be in this verse? And, who is that "messenger?" Also, whose people was the Pharaoh? And, who was that "messenger?" Everything is fully explained in the Quran... no need for extraneous sources. salam.
@muslimpurity3 жыл бұрын
@@shukriyusof2104 I don't quite understand why you quoted ayat 2:285. Although there is a difference of opinion regarding the reason for revelation of this ayat, one opinion states that it is illustrating the obedience of the believers to the Prophet ﷺ compared to the Jews' disobedience to Musa a.s. as stated in the following verse Of those who are Jews (there are those who) alter words from their places and say: We have heard and we disobey and:...surah 4:46 The hadith is sound and the message within it is sound. Every Prophet and Messenger before our Prophet ﷺ was sent to a nation. Hence, why Allah says time and again referring to different nations, قوم لوت قوم شعيب قوم هود Nation of Lut/Shoaib/Hud. As for the second ayat you quoted, the "YOU" could refer to several individuals. If you are looking at the time of revelation, then it is directly addressing the sahaba. However, due to the timeless nature of the Qur'an, the YOU is referring to any person who has the opportunity to pick up and recite the Qur'an, whether that be Muslim or non. After all, the Prophet ﷺ is a witness unto mankind...he is ash-shahid شاهد May Allah bless Shaykh Humza and grant us all true understanding of the greatness of the Prophet ﷺ. For truly, understanding the Prophet ﷺ is understanding the deen. Ameen.
@shukriyusof21043 жыл бұрын
@@muslimpurity Of course you could not understand it because you always rely on the opinion of other people instead of relying solely on the Quran. You wrote, "... Although there is a difference of opinion regarding the reason for revelation of this ayat, one opinion states... " But what about the other opinion? How could you dispense with it without even listing it out for others to judge for themselves? You have displayed your inherent bias! Let us focus on what you wrote and compare that against the verses of the Quran... for example... you wrote... "Although there is a difference of opinion... " however, the quran says... 2:2 This is the Book that, without doubt, has guidance for those who are mindful of God; 26:2 These are the verses of the Scripture that makes things clear How could you come up with the notion of "difference of opinion" when Allah has guaranteed that His verses are CLEAR and there exist "NO DOUBT" therein? Now... go read the whole Quran and understand... and cease with assumptions, opinions, doubts... because everything has been fully explained: 41:3 ˹It is˺ a Book whose verses are perfectly explained-a Quran in Arabic for people who know, salam.

One of the finest lecture you have delivered brother Hamza .we Muslim have to understand that before we teach anyone anything we have to agree to disagree about some matters and just deliver the message of Islam. There are no two ways about teaching someone anything if we force it on someone who has been fed lies for centuries.It is Allah who changes the heart and you brother can deliver the message as only a few can and may Allah give you a long life in good health

I think a book was mentioned here, but I lost my note as to what it was and I don't have time to watch it all again. Or the author was mentioned as one "enamored with the sayings of Imam Ali". Could anyone watching this reply to this comment if they come across it? Jazakallah

At 55:36 the verses specifically mention that they "wandered in the Desert of Beersheba," which is in Southern Palestine. How do we reconcile this with the rest of our interpretation, including and particularly the story of Zamzam and the Safa and Marwa? (Since it could be argued, based on these verses, that they must have gone further south to "Paran" after this incident).

Lots of oppression by the hands of illegitimate and brutal Indian regime. We never accepted Indian not only from its independence 1947 but from thousands of years. India and Indian culture is irrelevant to kashmir. There are around 1 million Indian troops in kashmir. The dire situation in kashmir is such that we can't even support a Pakistani cricket team. We don't have any freedom in kashmir.

Amazing talk, Masha Allah! However, one important prophecy that Shaykh Hamza somehow missed in this lecture is the one mentioned in 'Acts 3:19-24' which is the repetition of the prophecy in 'Deut 18:18'. Why the prophecy in 'Acts' is so significant is because it is mentioned after the time of Jesus-pbuh, signifying that the prophecy to Moses-pbuh in 'Deut' remained unfulfilled even after Jesus-pbuh had been lifted up into Heaven. As such we can safely conclude that it was for a prophet to come after Jesus-pbuh. And the only prophet that came after Jesus-pbuh was no other than Prophet Muhammad-pbuh, who was the last Prophet and Seal of Prophets. Another important reference is 'Song of Solomon '5:16' which mentions Rasoolullah-pbuh by his actual name (Muhammad-pbuh), if we read this passage in the original Hebrew language, and not in English as his name has been translated as 'all together lovely' in the English version of the Bible.

Asalam Alaikum Shaykh Hamza, i found it amazing when you mentioned that Bani Isreal says Farran is in Mount Sinai: when there was a documentary recently that broke down that the place where Nabi Moses(peace) spoke to ALLAH{subhaan) that location is in what is now modern day Saudi Arabia. Barak ALLAH fi Shaykh.
