So I do a lot of truck driving and in my down time, I want something i can zbrush while out on the road. The latest trucks have USB ports in them. Is this a viable unit to take on the road if I want to work on sculpting while sitting parked at the wheel?

Hi! I've been looking to solve a similar problem (going portable while sculpting in zbrush) so maybe someone else can chime in. The problem is, this tablet still requires a desktop or laptop with and HDMI port to work. It also needs to be plugged into a wall. So I suppose you could get some kind of converter for power, but you would need to tote a laptop along with the Wacom Tablet. I've been considering something like a Microsoft Surface Book, considering they are lightweight, thin, reasonably powerful, and have a pressure sensitive touch screen. The only issue is they are fairly expensive.

I think an ipad pro will work better in your set up, just install nomad and you can digitally sculpt portable

How r u navigating in zbrush? Are u only using the pen? Was there setup for that? Thx
@bshukrallah Жыл бұрын
I'm using a combination of pen and keyboard shortcuts. The pen is utilized like the mouse in zbrush.
@bshukrallah Жыл бұрын
There's no additional setup to make it work, just the regular set up when you install the pen tablet. There are some additional settings you can set in zbrush though, like pen sensitivity.

Hello, I’d like to use Zbrush to sculpt small statuettes, which I’d then like to have 3D printed in small, limited, runs to sell. Do you have any recommendations for a desktop computer to pair with the 16” Cintiq and that can run Zbrush well? I’d rather not build my own computer, so something that is pre-made and ready-to-use, and reliable is ideal. I’m not a professional 3D modeler. But I do have some past experience with traditional sculpture and ceramics, though I’d say I’m a novice in that regard. I’m attracted to Zbrush because I’ve heard it’s more like traditional sculpting than other or programs. Thank you for your time and thank you for the video.

Hi! So I personally like to go overkill, because you can never have to much processing power. My current specs are an Intel i7 processor, 48 gb ram, and nvidia RTX 2070 super. Zbrush system reqs are actually pretty low, but like i said, you won't regret having a fast computer. You could get away with an i5 processor and 8 gb of ram. Personally though, I'd never go lower than an i7 processor and 16 gb ram. www.ibuypower.com has decent PCs you can configure for a variety of prices.

Is the screen is really as blurry as in your video? Is there any noticeable parallax and does the screen scrath easily? Sorry for asking a lot of questions.
@bshukrallah4 жыл бұрын
Hi! No the screen is clear. It probably appears blurry in the video because of my camera. I've used it a lot since making this video and it has not scratched, granted I'm just sculpting and drawing on it. I don't have the cash to try and scratch it like some other reviewers might. The parallax is not noticeable to me. If I get super up close I can see it, but typically it's a non-issue, especially in zbrush. I could see it being a bigger deal in a drawing app like photoshop however. Overall I like it, and I do believe it has improved my work, if nothing else just by making it easier to sculpt by putting pen to screen. The biggest issue is the drivers, but that's always fixed with a quick PC restart.

Hey Ben, I just got my Wacom Cinitq 16 and I was wondering how did you setup your display screen for zbrush? My Zbrush UI don't fully fit the Wacom Cinitq screen. Do you know how I could fix this thanks.
@bshukrallah3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Sorry for the late reply - I didn't make many changes personally, but you could try this: Go to Preferences - UI - Adjust the button size, shrink it and restart Zbrush. All of the buttons should get smaller, so more can fit on the screen.
@ruthca85152 жыл бұрын
Hi! I just found the solution to this issue in case anybody else needs it. It's due to the configuration of the screen in windows 10. So you need to right click on the desktop, select screen configuration, out of the two squares select the one that represents the Cintiq 16, and then scroll down till "scale and distribuition" (or something similar, mine's in Spanish). I had 150%, but when I switch to 100% the zbrush interface fit perfectly. Hope it helps.

Hi~ thanks for sharing this video. Is is still working well for now? I am a student of modeling stream, I am about to learn how to use zbrush next week. I am not sure which one is better, pen display or drawing tablet
@bshukrallah3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes I use it almost daily. Drawing tablets are cheaper, and more portable, but I prefer pen displays because I feel like drawing on the screen really makes a difference.

I'm planning to invest in a "2in1" combo with a Wacom Cintiq 16+Vesa arm. I play games(casual gamer) and do art as a hobby. Is this monitor good enough to play games on? How is the input lag? I am used to play on a 1920x1200 60hz Asus PB248Q and a beefier 100hz ultrawide. But to me 60fps and up is what i prefer in games. As a drawing device i bet this is superb, but how is it for games? Any input on that? Thanks for the video btw. :)
@bshukrallah4 жыл бұрын
I think it's too small for games, in my opinion. I've only watched KZbin videos, occasionally some word processing for work as a second monitor, and done artwork on it, however I don't believe I would like to game on it. It could be my set up also, but my GPU gives me more options to adjust colors on my main screen, rather than the Wacom, which is fairly limited.

@@bshukrallah Physical dimensions is not that big as you say, gaming is not optimal on it. It's more for PC LAN sessions with friends that i will get it for. Maybe it's more worth investing in a Dell 24" 4K display and bring my current wacom intous 5. A 2080ti will have no issues at all running old games(2014 and back) in 4K. Thanks for the answers and your time! :)
