@@bassage13 Not everyone does, I am currently reading an anatomy book to learn all of the muscles of the human body for art. Everyone is at a different point, just because you know something doesn't mean everyone does. Everyone has different experiences and has different knowledge in different areas. For example a janitor knows a lot more about cleaning products than an artist. It makes no sense to demean people over not knowing something.

As an avid Blender user and sculptor, I must say Zbrush has some of the worst ui and shortcut configuration I have ever seen. I hope Blender manages to reach the same sculpting performance one day xD. But your tutorial was great all the same, thank you!

Or, and this might be crazy hold on, Zbrush just gets its UI in order for a near $1000 price tag. Make it easier to access and all that.
@KeelanJon Жыл бұрын
@@user-dingydee Agreed, the price tag is quite obsurd imo. As a note from a Blender user if you're keen to dive more into sculpting, I'd highly recommend picking up the Quad Remesher add on from Exoside. It's essentially a Z-remesher, but completely makes sculpting in Blender so much better. It's a little pricey as an add on, but very cheap when compared to a Zbrush subscription.

I've been considering learning Zbrush for years, seen a lot of 'beginner' tutorials - this is hands down the most informative and motivating tutorial I've come across. Kudos on finding the perfect set of brushes to showcase so the viewers aren't overwhelmed or intimidated by all the brush options, but still enough brushes to create a dynamic sculpt. You clearly have a mastery over the software as well as an understanding of a beginner's perspective. Well done!

I've learned about two dozen software packages relating to my job, so I am a bit more judicious than you perhaps in what I choose to dive into - i.e. Can I afford another software license? How useful will this software be in my motion graphics career? If the answer to either of those is "no" then I will continue to admire from afar. You must picture a person just petrified of failure, spending countless days watching videos trying to get up the nerve to try something... that is not who I am. It's astounding that THIS snarky quip is what you felt compelled to reply to a comment that was clearly created foremostly to show appreciation to the author of the video. I think it should be easier nowadays with all the technological advances and found browsing that ZBrush is like an easier program to start with than Maya or 3D MAX. Yet, I know ZBrush from its beginning; Rinhozeros, Blender and that kind of stuff, like this old prgram to make landscapes... how was the name... Bryce xD I started with that one.

I press 'Auto Groups' and the original and duplicated object both become purple (although a slight different hue). When I then use the mirror command it only mirrrors the duplicated object? I followed the exact steps as in your video so I am not sure what could be wrong. Thanks!
