What is not discussed is the 3.16mm/year average sea level increase. (from NASA) What Leighton fails to understand is that the average NZer is younger than him and has more to lose if he and Lord Monkton are wrong. Whether the figures are right or wrong does not change the aspirations of most educated people to prevent the wanton destruction of our environment caused by a system that depends on continuous growth with limited resources.
