Sadly yesterday, we had the perfect chance to win, given how well we played in the buildup, but that has been the story since Febuary last year, we dominate teams, but cannot put the ball in the net. What's the point of buying young talent in areas where you are good, if you have glaring openings in your team. young talent should supplement a squad, not be the focal point.

Ange's mentality reminds me of Glenn McGrath the Australian cricketer who used to predict that Australia would beat England 5-0 in every Ashes series (of 5 matches). People here in England always thought he was simply being arrogant (and that was partly true for sure) but what he really meant was that they never went into *any* match thinking a draw or loss was acceptable. I'd argue that mentality is why his Aussie team of the 90s and early 00s was so dominant. There is a cultural difference here I think, and that's why he was so appalled by some Spurs fans not minding losing to City last year.
